More than nine months after welcoming their son, Truett, into the world, it sounds like Jed and Katey Duggar are calling their baby boy something else. After a fan noticed a change in a YouTube video, it appears Jed and Katey changed their son's name to something totally unexpected.
Jed and Katey welcomed their first child in May.
When he was born, they announced that his name was Truett Oliver Duggar and they were using the nickname "True" for him — pretty adorable.
Truett is a big name for a baby, but they seemed happy with their choice at the time. But has that changed since last May?
Family was overheard calling the baby another name in a new YouTube video.
On their YouTube Channel, Jed and Katey shared a vlog from a family road trip and they had Truett along for the ride. In the video, more than one member of the family can be heard calling him "Bill," though Jed and Katey are never heard calling him that themselves.
Hmm …
Now there's speculation that Truett's name has been changed.
Of course, "Bill" is a pretty big jump from Truett, and it's not exactly a nickname that goes along with his original name, which is making us wonder if his name isn't Truett anymore.
We have so many questions.
Fans are confused, to say the least.
On a popular Duggar-related Reddit forum, people were debating what this could all mean, including some who thought Truett might just be a family name and not what they actually call him.
Others took the opportunity to poke fun at the name Jessa and Ben chose for their first son, with one person writing, "Honestly, it can’t get any worse than Spurgeon."
So far, Jed and Katey haven't offered any clarity.
Whether he's Truett or Bill, it's hard to deny that this is a pretty adorable baby. If his parents found a name that fits him better than the one they originally chose, it's better late than never.
We're going to need an update on this. What's going on?!
