Jenelle Evans’ Ex August Keen Claims She’s ‘Refusing’ To Pay Jace’s Medical Bill

It’s been months since Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans and boyfriend August Keen went their separate ways, but according to him, there’s still beef between them. In a new interview, August accused Jenelle of skipping out on a medical bill her son Jace incurred when August had to take him to the hospital. Apparently, Jenelle was “too high” to bring him in herself.

According to what August told Ok! Magazine this week, when he and Jenelle were still together, he felt he had no other choice but to take 15-year-old Jace to the hospital to be seen for a “messed up hand.”

“I took Jace to the hospital one day because Jenelle kept refusing to take him because she was always too high and he had a messed up hand,” he told the magazine. “It was a constant battle, and I kept telling her he needs to go to the hospital, he’s in pain, his hand looks messed up, but she kept putting it off.”

At the time, Jenelle and Jace were in Las Vegas, where August lives, and when she went back to her home state of North Carolina for a court date, August took Jace to be seen.

“As the adult, I had to sign off for it, so the bill for the hospital went under my name,” he explained.

August said he has been asking Jenelle for the money “for months and months now,” but she’s “refusing” to cough up the cash.

August is now concerned that his credit will take a hit, but Jenelle’s only response to him has been that he’s “not my daddy and can’t tell me what to do.”

“She needs to step up as a mother and take care of her kids and stop expecting for everyone else to step up and play the parent,” he said. “Just like my relationship with her, I was the one going to all the parent conferences and dealing with the kids’ school stuff when they got in trouble because she was always too high to give a s— and go herself.”

August even went so far to say, “If it wasn’t for me, she probably wouldn’t have her kids right now.”

At this point, Jenelle hasn’t responded to August’s claims. Instead, she’s been sharing TikTok videos about her outings with her kids and doesn’t seem bothered in the least. But knowing Jenelle, it wouldn’t be surprising if she fires back soon.
