Former Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans‘ ex Nathan Griffith is facing major time behind bars after his court appearance this week. On Monday, Nathan pleaded guilty to a domestic violence charge he was hit with while already on probation for a previous battery charge. Now, it looks like he could be facing up to 48 months in prison – or as many as 25 years if he violates his probation again after his future release.
Nathan took a plea deal.
According to legal documents obtained by The Sun, Nathan pleaded guilty to “battery constituting domestic violence by strangulation” following his arrest last month, when he allegedly strangled girlfriend Anastasia Biddle.
The terms of his plea deal state that he will “serve a sentence of 14 to 48 months in the Nevada Department of Corrections.”
He was arrested while on probation in 2023.
The plea deal also states that Nathan agreed to plead guilty to this charge partly because of a previous deal he signed in 2023, when he pleaded guilty to “attempted battery by strangulation” during an incident involving his sister, Heather. However, because his arrest after the incident with Anastasia took place when he was already on probation, he will face more serious consequences should he be charged with anything else during his next probation period, “including reckless driving or DUI, but excluding minor traffic violations.”
Should he be charged with another crime, he acknowledged that those charges will “increase my sentence as a habitual criminal, from five to 20 years, or a definite 25-year [term] with the possibility of parole after 10 years,” per The Sun.
He will be sentenced later this month.
The Sun also reported that Nathan is set to be sentenced in court next month, and along with time in prison, he may also face fines of up to $10,000, along with agreeing to submit to blood and saliva tests.
Jenelle recently tried to offer Nathan help.

Jenelle, who shares 10-year-old son Kaiser with Nathan, came under fire when she shared a story on TikTok in April about how she offered her ex a place to stay right before his latest arrest. At the time, he called Jenelle in a panic after his fight with Anastasia.
Nathan never ended up making it to Jenelle’s house before he was arrested, but she later told a friend in a TikTok comment that she wanted to help him for Kaiser’s sake. “What’s best for my own child is his father getting help and getting sober,” she said.
