The often controversial reality star Jenelle Evans is receiving extra attention for a positive reason for a change. After the 31-year-old recently put her "mommy pouch" in the spotlight as she embarks on a new fitness journey, fans can't get enough of her candor.
Jenelle shared some snaps with fans on Tuesday.
Clad in spandex leggings and a sports bra, Jenelle posed outside of a fitness center at the start of the week to launch her new workout regimen.
"Here's a cheers to my new journey to lose my 'Mommy Pouch' and love handles," she captioned the photo, which featured her holding what appeared to be a smoothie. "Started working out today and it feels great!"
The reality star has three kids.
The former Teen Mom star earned her "mommy pouch" by giving birth to three children — 13-year-old Jace, 8-year-old Kaiser, and 5-year-old Ensley — who also helped make her a star during her contentious role on the MTV series.
Jenelle was ultimately fired from the franchise after her husband David Eason made a series of inappropriate (and at times, dangerous) decisions both on and off social media.
She earned plenty of praise for her decision to show off her current figure.
Fans loved seeing Jenelle being so real and took to the comments to congratulate her.
"Credit for showing what real moms look like," one person wrote. "It's not all Insta models. Good luck on journey! I am about to start mine too."
Another person chimed in and seconded their happiness of Jenelle's unedited photo. "Thank you for the real pictures," the commenter wrote.
Of course there were still some who decided to drag her for her weight.
Jenelle takes a lot of heat from her fans (we'll admit, some of it well-deserved) which is why it wasn't surprising to see that not everyone was so keen to cheer her on.
"You can't call it a mommy pouch anymore when your kids are over six and you've lost the weight multiple times already lol," one person wrote. "Ya like food girl … nothin wrong with that."
Jenelle may have a financial reason for making the decision to get healthy.
The former reality star has started an OnlyFans account in the hopes of making some money to help support her, David, and their combined five children. In fact, some people think that's the real reason why Jenelle's suddenly so keen to get fit.
No matter the motivation, it looks like Jenelle is ready to hit the gym. As long as it helps her feel good about herself that's all that matters to us!
