Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans has had a lot of ups and downs with her son, Jace Evans, through the years, and for most of his childhood, her mom (and his grandmother) Barbara had custody of him. Now 16 years old, Jace is back with Barbara once again, and according to Jenelle, he’s not having very much fun at all in his new living arrangement.
Jace was in and out of Jenelle’s house over the summer.
Over the past year, Jace has run away from Jenelle’s home in Las Vegas on more than one occasion that required the police getting involved. During the summer, he temporarily moved to Florida to live with his dad, Andrew Lewis, but that arrangement didn’t last very long; he soon returned to Jenelle after realizing that Andrew wasn’t in a place to care for his son.
Jenelle and Jace’s fraught relationship came to a head last month, when Jace exposed text messages that his mom had sent him online.
Now, he’s living with Barbara.

Over the weekend, Jenelle went live on Twitch and shared an update on Jace, and Teen Mom fans on Reddit shared a clip of the moment.
“How’s my mom? My mom’s doing good. She’s in North Carolina, she’s hanging in there with Jace,” Jenelle said. “I laugh because it’s like, y’all don’t even know!. People think it’s me and it’s not me! It’s not me!”
Apparently, it’s not going very well for him.
According to the Ashley’s Reality Roundup, Jace was sent to live with Barbara the same night that he posted her text messages on social media, and Jenelle claims he’s not having a very good time so far.
“I grew up with all that yelling and screaming in my house. So did everyone else that grew up with me, and Jace is going through it,” Jenelle said, laughing.
Fans aren’t impressed with her take on Jace’s new situation.
On Reddit, Jenelle’s critics didn’t hold back when it came to how they felt about Jenelle laughing at Jace’s struggle with Barbara.
“What exactly is funny about any of this? She is so psychotic. It’s no wonder she repels everyone away from her. She’s just a rotten, bad person,” one commenter said.
Another wrote, “Do people realise the magnitude of this? She’s laughing at her mother and her son, because they’re struggling. I can’t even comprehend how low of a human being you have to be to not find guilt or shame in this, but to find it FUNNY. This woman is absolutely foul.”
