‘Teen Mom’ Jenelle Evans’ 14-Year-Old Son Found After Being Reported Missing

It's been a roller coaster week for former Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans. Days after fighting publicly with her husband on social media, her son Jace ran away from home. He's since been found, but the circumstances around the situation have fans more than a little concerned.

Jace was reported missing earlier this week.

As TMZ reported, the Brunswick County Sheriff's Department put out an alert for Jace on Tuesday after he went missing when he was supposed to be at school, and shared the information on the department's Facebook page.

"Last seen leaving Roger Bacon Academy in the Maco Road area of Leland around 2:45 this afternoon wearing a gray sweatshirt with 'Classical Charter Schools of America' written on it. Could be in navy shirt if sweatshirt was removed," read the alert on Facebook.

Fortunately, Jace was quickly located.

Just a matter of hours later, Jenelle's manager, August Keen, confirmed to TMZ that Jace was safe and sound.

"Jace has been found, and is safely at home with Jenelle and his family, thank you to the Brunswick Co. Sheriff's Department and to everyone else for their concerns," read August's statement.

Jenelle claims this was a simple act of rebellion.

While talking to TMZ, Jenelle revealed that Jace was simply being a "rebel" like many 14-year-olds tend to do after he didn't like a punishment that she doled out for his behavior.

"Jace, got in trouble at school, we decided to take his phone away and that's when he decided to run off, Jace is a good kid and we're not dealing with anything that most families don't deal with while raising children, this has absolutely nothing to do with my situation with David, we do not argue in front of our children or fight in front of our kids," she said. "This is a teenage boy being a teenager mad that we decided to take his phone away."

This unfolded the same time Jenelle's been locked in a very public fight with David.

Over the weekend, Jenelle and David bickered back and forth on social media, and Jenelle ended up accusing her husband of stealing her money, taking advantage of her generosity, and causing a lot of "negative energy" around their home.

On Tuesday, David shared an Instagram reel claiming that he was the first to go looking for Jace when he went missing, saying that he "almost had a heatstroke trying to find this kid."

It's good to know that Jace is safe.

It's only recently that Jenelle has regained custody from Jace after he spent most of his life living with her mom, Barbara. Hopefully, things will go more smoothly from here on out. We can't imagine how scared she must have been.
