The news that Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz have ended their engagement that broke earlier this week surprised fans, but what does ex-wife Jenna Dewan think about it? We might not have the answer to that question, but some believe that her fiancé, Steve Kazee, has reacted publicly to their breakup – and not in a way anyone might have expected.

News of Channing and Zoë's breakup broke on Tuesday.
According to what multiple sources confirmed to People, Channing and Zoë ended their engagement last weekend after three years of dating — apparently because they realized they have less in common than they thought.
“They haven’t been on the same page and grew apart,” one source said.
Then, Jenna's fiancé shared a post on his Instagram Stories that raised eyebrows.
In a post on his feed that has since expired, Steve simply shared a post that featured white text on a black background reading “HAHA” in all caps, over and over again, filling the page.
Given the timing of the breakup news, it definitely seemed like he might have been responding with laughter.
People weren't too impressed with Steve — if he was referencing Channing's bad news, of course.
“I still don’t know why Jenna Dewan’s boyfriend Steve Kazee is laughing about the end of Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz’s relationship on his Instagram story. It said a lot about the person!” one person wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Another person tagged Steve directly, tweeting, “haha when you end up divorced. It’s never nice to laugh at someone’s loss.”

Now, Steve is insisting that his post had nothing to do with Jenna's ex at all.

After word got out that people thought Steve’s post was related to Channing and Zoë’s split, he returned to his Instagram Stories to clear the air. According to Steve, he was actually laughing at a TikTok video he’d posted right before the “HAHA” story that cracked a joke about dying houseplants watching humans put water in their coffee makers instead of watering the plants.
“A guy can’t laugh about a houseplant TikTok in today’s world I see …” he wrote.
He then shared a photo of his own dying houseplant, writing, “See? It’s funny because it’s relatable. Get a life.”
So far, Channing and Zoë aren't speaking out about their split themselves.
The former couple hasn’t shared any statements or confirmation that they’ve decided to go their separate ways, and the Magic Mike star has continued posting on social media as he usually does.
Alongside a photo from the set of his upcoming movie, Roofman, Channing wrote, “Just broke out of prison and into a Toys R Us … how was your day. Hehe #ROOFMANdirty and tired but still a Toys R Us kid.”
