Exes Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck recently celebrated their son Samuel’s 13th birthday at a paintball park, which is not particularly unusual given that they have a good co-parenting relationship. However, photos from the outing went viral because of the affectionate way in which Ben Affleck grabbed his ex-wife. Later, reports suggested that Ben was interested in getting back together with Jennifer. Unsurprisingly, Jennifer’s boyfriend seems to have an issue with the way Ben’s acting.

Though they didn’t finalize their divorce until 2018, they broke up nearly 10 years ago. They tied the knot in 2005 and share three children. Following their split, they’ve maintained a good co-parenting relationship. In 2022, Ben married Jennifer Lopez, but they divorced two years later.
In 2018, Jennifer started dating her current boyfriend, John Miller.
Jennifer’s boyfriend is the CEO of CaliBurger and tends to stay out of the spotlight. Describing their relationship to Us Weekly, an insider said, “They’re happier being a regular, under-the-radar couple and don’t need anyone else’s validation to know they’re meant to be together.”
However, the cozy-looking photos of Jennifer and Ben have reportedly bothered him.
After the paintball photos of Jennifer and Ben went viral, an insider spoke to Page Six how John felt about it. Normally, John has no issue with Jennifer and Ben’s friendly relationship, the insider claimed. However, the affection they displayed at the paintball park seemed to take it too far.
John reportedly “feels Ben crossed the line,” according to the Page Six insider. Even though he reportedly “knows there’s nothing going on between Jen and Ben,” he feels like how Ben was acting at the paintball park is “disrespectful to their relationship.”
The source added that Jennifer’s boyfriend “doesn’t want to see anything like that again or he has no choice but to walk away.”
Jennifer and Ben’s relationship has changed — but that doesn’t mean it’s romantic.
Though the affectionate photos have sparked romance rumors, one source has alleged that the exes’ relationship remains platonic. An insider told Us Weekly that Jennifer and Ben have “a strong friendship,” not a budding romantic relationship. The insider claimed that the exes’ friendship has gotten even stronger after Ben’s divorce from J.Lo, but mainly because Ben has been focusing on his kids. According to the source, Jennifer is also “a grounding and trusting force in Ben’s life.”
Other reports infer Ben is interested in a romantic relationship with his ex.
Recently, an insider told Page Six that Ben “would definitely be open to giving things another shot with Jen if the timing is ever right.” However, the source also suggested that Ben has no desire to come between Jennifer and John.
“Ben respects Jen’s relationship with John and would never come between them,” the insider claimed.
