Jennifer Lopez Says Blending Families With Ben Affleck Was an ‘Emotional Transition’

The honeymoon may be long over for Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, but that doesn't mean that the fun has come to an end. J.Lo recently gushed about her new hubby while promoting her new movie, Shotgun Wedding. And while she was obviously still loving the life they've created together, she did hint that things aren't always easy when it comes to their blended family.

Jen chatted with the hosts of the 'Today Show' about how things have been going since she got hitched.

The talks about Jen's new movie Shotgun Wedding quickly turned to her own recent nuptials during a Monday interview.

Jen opened up about what it's been like since she became Mrs. Affleck, and how their combined five children have been adjusting to their new lives since J.Lo and her twins moved in with the Batman star.

The Lopez family and the Affleck family are now living under one roof.

"We moved in together," Jen revealed on Monday. "The kids moved in together. It's been, like, a really kind of emotional transition, but at the same time all your dreams coming true."

Jen has twin 14-year-olds from her marriage to Marc Anthony, and Ben has his own trio of teens from his marriage to Jennifer Garner.

Yes, that means there are five teens living at the Bennifer compound.

The reunited loves made things official over the summer when they got married … twice! First, they tied the knot with a quickie Las Vegas wedding before doing it again in front of all of their friends and family in Savannah, Georgia.

It sounds like they didn't rush into combining households, though, and maybe that was for the best, considering how many changes the pair's kids were facing.

Jen says this has been the best year of her life.

Things may be a bit rocky when it comes to bringing two families together, but Jen wouldn't change any of it for the world.

"And it's just been a phenomenal year," Jen gushed during her interview. "Like, my best year I think since my kids were born."

It's nice to hear that things are going so well for the newlyweds, especially when you consider just how long it took them to get to this point!

The teens have a great support system in their lives.

By all accounts Ben and his ex-wife and Jennifer and her ex-husband are on great terms, which has to make co-parenting that much easier.

We have a feeling the teens are actually the ones who are making out the best in this new situation. After all, they did just gain an additional set of BFFs in their step-siblings and a secondary set of parents to love them unconditionally. We should all be so lucky!
