While none of Michelle Duggar‘s children have quite followed in her footsteps to have 19 children of their own like their mom did, so far, some of them seem to be going for their goal of having a big family (albeit smaller than the one they grew up in). That includes Jessa Duggar, who is already a mom of six, and judging by her exchange with a follower on social media this week, it doesn’t sound like she’s planning to slow things down anytime soon!
It all started with an innocent Instagram post.
Earlier this week, Jessa shared a rare photo of her entire family together — not an easy task when you’re talking about wrangling multiple little ones, including toddlers and babies! But here they are: Jessa, her husband Ben Seewald, and kids Spurgeon, Henry, Ivy, Fern, George, and Edward. At 9, Spurgeon is the oldest, while baby Edward will celebrate his first birthday this July.
One of Jessa’s followers asked if she was done having kids.
But of course, they asked in what definitely came off as a rude way, writing, “Beautiful family but, are you going to stop now??!”
Jessa’s never been one to shy away from a little snark on social media when her followers cross her boundaries, so of course, she had to reply with a dry “Probably not.”
However, she did respond to another question about how big she wants her family to be — one that was actually polite, anyway.
“Right now, we don’t feel ‘done,’ but we also believe there’s nothing wrong with being done when that season comes,” Jessa wrote.
Now, fans are trying to predict how many kids she’ll actually end up having.
In a post discussing Jessa’s comments on Reddit, some people are predicting that she’ll have the most out of all of her siblings, with potentially four or five more kids to come, but others aren’t as convinced — some believe that her brother, Jed, and his wife, Katey, will end up having even more than Ben and Jessa will by the time they decide they’re done with this chapter of their lives.
At this point, all we know for sure is that Edward likely isn’t Jessa’s next baby, so she’ll become a mom of seven eventually if her current plans hold up. Beyond that? Time will tell!
