Jessa Duggar Shares Birth Vlog Revealing Baby No. 6 Has Already Arrived

The Duggar family always seems to be getting bigger, and now, we know that very recently (and very quietly), they welcomed their newest member. On August 2, Jessa Duggar revealed that her sixth baby has arrived by sharing the first part of her birth vlog, but there’s a catch — this video isn’t where the Counting On star is sharing the baby’s name, sex, or even the first peek at her newborn’s face.

At the beginning of the video, Jessa’s labor hadn’t quite started.

When the vlog began (which you can see here) she wasn’t in full-blown labor yet; instead, Jessa was still experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions. But since her family was busy that day, she wasn’t too upset that things weren’t progressing more quickly.

“For me, my history has been that when I go into labor, I always feel contractions heavily in my back,” Jessa told the camera. “I haven’t had any of those real contractions at this point. So I’m waiting it out.”

One day before her due date, she was ‘so ready’ to meet her baby.

That fourth trimester can truly be a challenge, and Jessa admitted that she was over it — not that anyone who’s been there can blame her!

“I’m doing what I can at this point now that my due date is literally tomorrow, but trying not to be rushed about it,” she said, adding that she “sort of” hoped she’d be woken up in the middle of the night with contractions that were the real deal.

Before long, Jessa was in full-blown labor.

Toward the end of the vlog, Jessa was at parents Jim Bob and Michelle’s house, and having contractions every three to five minutes. She was lying on their couch resting when her water broke, but fortunately, she did have a towel handy.

The end of the video (which was a preview of the next part to come) appeared to show Jessa laboring at the hospital, with mom Michelle by her side.

Fingers crossed she’ll share more details soon.

Jessa waited until the halfway point in her pregnancy to share the news that she was expecting, so if it seems like her pregnancy flew by, that might be why!

Now that her little one is here, hopefully, she’ll give us more details about their birth (and their name) soon. We can’t wait for the next update. Here’s hoping mom and baby are both doing great.
