On November 14, the New York Post published photos of Eric, who is a former NFL player. In the photos, he can be seen walking in Los Angeles with his parents. A zoomed-in photo of his hand makes it clear that he was not wearing a wedding ring during the outing.
Jessica Simpson has seemingly ditched her wedding ring as well. Per In Touch, she last wore her wedding band in a January Instagram post and hasn’t been seen with it since then.
A source told People that Jessica and Eric 'live separate lives.'
Many have noticed that Jessica’s recent Instagram posts almost make it appear that she is now single. Her husband hasn’t been in any of her Instagram photos since April. While Jessica previously pointed out that Eric isn’t “an Instagram guy,” that didn’t stop her from posting about him in the past. On his birthday in 2023, Jessica expressed her love for her husband in an emotional post, writing, “Eric turned 44 on Sept 15 and his family gave him all the love cells we have to celebrate his life. My heart is so taken with this Man, I could hardly call it my own …. We love youuuu.”
This September, she didn’t mention her husband’s birthday at all. Instead, she shared a clip of a preacher talking about forgiveness, In Touch noted.
A source recently told People that Jessica and Eric “very much live separate lives,” which might explain why Eric doesn’t appear in any of Jessica’s Instagram posts. “She’s working on music and splits her time between Los Angeles and Nashville. Eric spends all of his time in L.A., where the kids go to school,” the insider told the publication.

Their marriage might truly be over.
Some of the signs that fans have picked up on might seem subtle, but a source told In Touch that Jessica might file for divorce soon. “It’s pretty much over,” a source told the publication in October. “It’s only a matter of time before she files for divorce.”

Jessica’s most recent Instagram most, which she shared on November 11, seemingly has nothing to do with her marriage. However, that didn’t stop people from seeing the post as a sign that her marriage might be over.
“Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic,” Jessica captioned the post. “This comeback is personal, it’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve.”
“Is this j simp saying she’s single ?” one person responded to the post.
Another person wrote, “If it is a break up post … remember … your husband was there for you and stood by your side during your darkest days.”
Jessica recently opened up about her sobriety journey.
In addition to divorce speculation, Jessica has faced a lot of rumors about her drinking habits. In August, someone commented on one of her Instagram posts to tell her to “stop drinking.” Jessica saw it as an opportunity to set the record straight. “I haven’t wanted or touched alcohol since October 2017 and it has been the best decision I’ve made for myself and for my family,” she responded. “Thank. You for your concern, but you have me very misunderstood. Sending love your way.”
On November 1, she celebrated seven years of sobriety. “7yrs ago today I walked myself into the light of being alcohol free,” she wrote on Instagram.
