Jessie James Decker and husband Eric Decker might be done having kids at this point, but it doesn't sound like he's willing to take the steps to make their decision permanent — at least, not on his end. According to what Jessie said in a recent interview, Eric "refuses" to get a vasectomy because of what it would mean for his "manhood."
Having more kids is 'probably a no' for them.
That's what Jessie told Us Weekly in an interview last week, which isn't surprising to hear. After all, she and Eric have three children now: Vivianne, 8, Eric Jr., 7, and Forrest, 4.
But it sounds like Eric isn't willing to make that decision permanent — at least, not if that means he's the one having a procedure.
Eric isn't down for a vasectomy.
In fact, Jesse told the news outlet that he straight up "refuses."
"I keep asking him, 'Go make that appointment' and he won’t. He just won’t do it," she said. "He says it takes, like, his manhood away from him. So he’s just gonna leave it, I guess."
Of course, a vasectomy doesn't have anything to do with Eric's "manhood," but we wouldn't doubt that he's not the only man who feels this way.
Right now, they're not doing anything else to prevent pregnancy, either.
"I mean, you know, if it happens, it’s always a blessing. We’re not doing anything to truly prevent that," she said.
They may think they're done having kids, but maybe we shouldn't be surprised if a pregnancy announcement pops up on Jessie's Instagram sometime soon if Eric doesn't change his mind about the vasectomy …
Despite this disagreement, Jessie and Eric's marriage is still in a good place.
"We really try to make it a point [and say], like, 'Let’s have these moments where we lay in here and we pillow talk each other … and just make sure we give each other that time,'" she told Us Weekly. "It’s so important. Even early on in the day we’ll be like, 'Is tonight the night?' We make sure that we flirt [and] we get each other excited."
They seem pretty happy as a family of five.
And it'll definitely be interesting to see if they stay that way or grow in number!
Who knows? Maybe Eric will end up changing his mind about that vasectomy after all. It's a big decision, but he definitely won't be the only guy out there who has decided to go through with it.
