Four months after relationship rumors about Jewel and Kevin Costner began swirling, one half of this potential celebrity couple is speaking out. In a new interview, Jewel addressed the rumors that she and Kevin are dating for the first time. The Yellowstone star is now single after his divorce from ex-wife Christine Baumgartner was finalized earlier this year, so it wouldn't be too surprising to find out that he's seeing someone new — why not someone he seems to have been friends with for a while?

Jewel spoke about the rumors in an interview with Elle magazine.
While talking to the magazine, Jewel called Kevin a "great person," though she didn't give too much away about the state of their romantic relationship — if it even exists!
"The public fascination is intense for sure," she said.
She didn't give away any other clues.
She did talk about the decision to form her wellness brand, NatureWell, after she split from Ty Murray in 2014.
"Realizing I was going to be a single mom at 40, and that the music job is just moving 24/7, I knew I had a big decision to make," she told Elle. "It reminded me of being 18 and homeless; my whole life got disrupted. Divorce is obviously super painful, and you have to redefine everything. I wanted to make a living, but I wanted to do it authentically. Given my upbringing, I shouldn’t mother well or be a natural parent. So that meant I had to take it very, very seriously."
Rumors about Jewel and Kevin began in December.
Photos of the two looking cozy while hanging out on Richard Branson's private island in the Caribbean were published by TMZ. Jewel was hosting a fundraiser for her Inspiring Children Foundation, and Kevin appeared to be there to offer his support.

An insider said they seemed like more than friends.
A source who was at the event that night told TMZ, "There was definitely something going on. They were flirty, and when they were together, it was like they both just lit up."
"You could tell they were trying to be discreet, but anybody who saw them could tell something was going on," another source added.
Time will tell if romance is really unfolding between these two.
If nothing else, they appear to have found a friendship with each other that clearly works for them, and having that kind of support you can count on is never a bad thing.
If Kevin and Jewel are together, maybe they'll fill us in soon. They would make a cute couple!
