There are some Hollywood couples that people just seem to rally behind, and Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are certainly one of them. At first, they seemed like an odd couple, an interesting pairing, but it didn’t take long for people to really root for these two.
But now, rumors are circulating that their marriage is coming to an end.
Joe and Sophie are heading toward divorce, according to TMZ. Speaking with sources, the news outlet shares that Joe “had his people contact and consult with at least 2 L.A.-area divorce lawyers and he is on the cusp of filing divorce docs to end his marriage to Sophie.”
The source alleges the couple, who have been married for four years, have been having “serious problems” for at least half the year.
The two are also parents to two young kids.
The couple got engaged in 2017 and married in 2019 Then, in 2020, Joe and Sophie welcomed their first child, a girl named Willa, and their second kiddo was born in July 2022.
However, things have apparently been rocky for the two recently. Source that spoke with TMZ said that for the past few months, Joe has been caring for their two kids, even while on tour with his brothers.
“We're told over the last 3 months, Joe has been caring for their 2 young children ‘pretty much all of the time,’ even as his band was touring,” TMZ reported. “We're told Joe currently has both kids, as the group plays around the U.S.”
With his kids on tour with him, rumors have started to swirl that there was trouble in their marriage.
The news outlet noted a few times recently when Joe was photographed without his wedding ring.
Just last month, the couple appeared to be on good terms.
Celebrating Joe’s birthday, Sophie shared an Instagram story of the two together, wearing matching pajamas.
“Happy birthday handsome,” Sophie wrote in the caption, according to People.
People are having big feelings about the rumors these two are heading toward divorce.
Joe and Sophie are considered a “power couple,” and they’re fan favorites for sure. So since the rumors began, people have been sharing their thoughts on social media, including on older photos on Sophie’s and Joe’s Instagram accounts.
“Sooo, divorce or what's going on?” one person asked in the comment section of Sophie’s last post on Instagram in mid-August. “Actually if you two divorce I am really giving up hope for true love and that young people this generation can stay together.”
'I sincerely hope that the separation rumors are a hoax,' another person wrote.
And people were pointing out that Joe was wearing his wedding ring in a photo posted to his Instagram less than a day ago.
"I love how we all just went looking for his ring," one person wrote.
