In a since-expired Snapchat post captured by the Daily Mail, JoJo shared a photograph of herself with her hands cradling her bare belly. "Can't believe it!" she captioned the image, adding some emotional-looking emojis.

Although she didn't come right out and claim she was expecting, it was a short leap for many of her followers, who immediately believed that JoJo was announcing a pregnancy.

In another photo, JoJo appeared to be shopping for baby clothes.

The former Dance Moms star continued her pregnancy ruse in another Snapshot photo, exposing her bare belly once again while posing next to a pile of infant outfits. "Baby clothes haul," she wrote in her caption, adding baby and blue heart emojis.

Fans were shocked by the apparent baby news.

Several people took to social media to question whether the teen was actually expecting her first baby. Much of the confusion came from the fact that JoJo has recently been very vocal about her single life after splitting from her girlfriend. When fans realized that the pregnancy posts were meant as a joke, however, that confusion quickly turned to anger.

People sounded off online, calling JoJo insensitive and out of touch.

"Who's gonna tell JoJo Siwa that her whole 'I'm pregnant!' 'team girl or boy?' skit isn't funny?" one frustrated follower asked.

Another person shared a screenshot of one of JoJo's posts before accusing the singer of doing this for "clicks" and attention. "Does anyone else find this extremely weird and kind of insensitive?" the person asked.

Unfortunately for JoJo, the answer was a resounding Yes.

JoJo has tried to do a bit of damage control.

Not only did she post a video on TikTok in which she appears to laugh at the absurdity of a possibly pregnancy because she solely dates women these days, but she also took to Snapchat to explain to fans just how much she hopes to someday become a mom. She later conceded, though, that her motherhood dream is still a long ways off.

We hope that JoJo listens to her fans who continue to be hurt by her fake pregnancy posts. It's clear that she's gotten people worked up over the constant lies and attention-seeking behavior.
