Bill Belichick’s relationship with his much younger girlfriend Jordon Hudson has raised eyebrows from the beginning. As time goes on, however, people are growing increasingly concerned about the nature of their relationship, with some skeptics suggesting that “elder abuse” might be at play. The perplexing couple has sparked engagement rumors before. Recent reports have done nothing to quell people’s suspicions that the couple could be planning to get married.
Apparently Jordon has told people that she’s engaged.
Bill, 73, and Jordon, 24, have said they met on a flight in February 2021. They reportedly started dating in 2023. Now, after two years of dating, reports suggest that the couple might be engaged.
A New York Times article published on May 20 examined their controversial relationship in detail. At one point, the article stated, “Ms. Hudson has told at least one person that she and Mr. Belichick are engaged to be married.”
Neither Bill nor Jordon has publicly announced their alleged engagement, but there are other signs that suggest the rumors could be true.
Some think Bill seemed to confirm the engagement with his new boat name.
Bill’s boat was previously named after his eight Super Bowl wins. He called the boat VIII Rings. But according to TMZ, the boat now has an updated name: I + VIII Rings. TMZ published a photo that showed the boat’s former name, along with a photo of the vessel bearing the new name. Some suspected the boat’s new “ring” was a nod to Bill and Jordon’s rumored engagement.
The couple has sparked engagement rumors before.
Jordon’s jewelry choices first sparked engagement rumors in February. At the NFL Honors, Jordon wore a large ring on her wedding ring finger. She was spotted wearing the same ring during Super Bowl weekend. Then, at the end of April, Page Six reported that Jordon appeared to be wearing a ring on that finger once again during an outing in New York City.
Concerns about their relationship increased after Jordon interrupted an interview.
Though Bill and Jordon’s relationship has made headlines on multiple occasions, they’ve been getting more attention after Bill’s CBS Sunday Morning interview that Jordon interrupted. During the interview, the reporter asked Bill about how he and his girlfriend met. Jordon interjected with, “We’re not talking about this.”
Bill later released a statement defending his girlfriend. He said she “was not deflecting any specific question or topic but simply doing her job to ensure the interview stayed on track.”
