Joy-Anna Duggar is making a huge change. Five years after she and husband Austin Forsyth fixed up their Arkansas home as they started their family, they’re moving. This week, Joy revealed the news in a post on Instagram, sharing a bittersweet peek at her empty house compared to what their family looked like when they first moved in.

Joy shared one last family photo in their empty house.
Here, we can see Joy and Austin posing in their house after they moved their stuff out — joined by kids Gideon and Evelyn and their toddler, Gunner, who was caught mid-run by the camera. Swiping over, you can see a picture of Joy, Austin, and baby Gideon when they first moved in.
“WE ARE MOVING! 🏡 This is our LAST family picture in our home of almost 5 years!” Joy wrote. “We’re a sweaty mess after moving but this picture starts a new adventure! We are so so excited to see what the next few years hold.”
Joy shared more of the details on her Instagram Stories.
In a video update, she said the amount of change their family has had in recent weeks is “insane,” including their move.
“We have always dreamed of living on some land, having room for the kids to roam, having a farm, all of that. And the next right step for us was to move, and so we ended up moving two weeks ago,” she explained. “We are in a rental for a while, but God answered so many prayers just for the rental that we were looking for, the area that we were looking in.”
She said the perfect rental house just 'fell in our laps.'
It only took them a matter of hours to move everything out of their old home, thanks to the help of their family and friends, and they’re already settling into their new home nicely.
“I’ll have to give you guys a house tour soon. But we are already settled in this house. The moving process went so, so well,” she said. “By the end of the first day, our new house felt like home already.”

Fans had an idea that Joy and Austin would be moving soon.
Last month, Realtor.com reported that Joy and Austin’s house had been put up for sale for $369k. Because the 1,737-square-foot home has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, there’s a good chance that it was becoming a tight squeeze for a family of five, especially as their three kids continue getting bigger.
Good for Joy and Austin for making their dreams come true.
There’s no word on what the next steps are for creating their next home on the land they dream of, but it looks like they’re already off to a good start. We can’t wait to see the tour of their rental house!
