It doesn’t seem to matter what Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth does or doesn’t do; people find fault. Sure, some of that is expected because she shares her life online in videos and images, but it’s still a lot. The latest criticism the mom of three has found herself at the center of is because of an image she shared of her daughter, Evelyn (Evie).
On September 2, Joy-Anna shared several photos to Instagram.
In one image shared to Instagram Stories, Joy-Anna captured a sweet picture of her 3-year-old daughter, Evie.
In the photo, Evie is looking into a mirror while wearing a dark orange summer dress. It’s a sweet look that goes really well with her bright curly hair.
But critics zeroed in on the fact that Evie isn’t wearing any shoes.
In the popular Reddit community, DuggarSnark, someone shared the photo of Evie and pointed out that she’s not wearing anything on her feet.
“Barefoot in a public restroom,” the title of the Reddit share reads. “Joy’s poor judgment strikes again. Daughter barefoot in a public bathroom. Gross.”
This share sparked a comment section where people questioned Joy-Anna.
“As someone who works in retail…. there has definitely been s—, p—, blood, and vomit on the floor,” one person wrote. “And the maintenance worker most likely won't properly sanitize it. They'll use the same mop that wiped around the toilets and use it to wipe the whole bathroom with it.”
“Joy has absolutely ZERO common sense,” added another commenter. “I saw this on her Instagram and wanted to puke. Those feet are filthy as well.”
“Barefoot in a public restroom is where I draw the line,” someone else shared. “That is SO gross! Is that truly a public restroom for sure?”
According to another Redditor, the Forsyths were at an Olive Garden.
The hate continued to flood in.
“Those poor kids are either going to be super sick or super safe,” added another Redditor. “I hope she finds her way to this Reddit and learns a little. But all I can offer is thoughts and prayers. I'm sure her defense will be about country living, but this is dangerous. These people probably don't have basic vaccines either.”
“That is so repulsive!” wrote someone else.
“Disgusting. Also, that little girl looks so much like Jinger, it’s wild,” reads another comment.
Joy-Anna never seems to let all the chatter bother her.
It has to be hard to be in the spotlight and have people speculate on your parenting. Joy-Anna doesn't seem to let any of it stop her from sharing her life with the world or let it damper her joy.
