Justin Baldoni Drags Taylor Swift Into New Lawsuit Against Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds

Just when it seemed like the drama between It Ends With Us costars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni couldn’t get any messier, somehow, it did. On Thursday, news broke that Justin is suing Blake and Ryan to the tune of $400 million, and for some reason, he thought dragging Taylor Swift into this situation was a good idea.

Blake filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Justin in December.

In the filing, Blake claimed she “suffered from grief, fear, trauma, and extreme anxiety” after working with Justin. Among the list of accusations she lobbed against her costar, she alleged that Justin’s inappropriate behavior toward her got so out of hand that a meeting was called to handle the “hostile work environment” situation. She also claimed Justin retaliated against her for speaking up by engaging in a “social manipulation” campaign to hurt her reputation.

Days later, Justin sued the New York Times for defamation after it published a story about the accusations, but apparently, he had no plans to stop there.

Justin is now suing Blake and Ryan personally.

The lawsuit includes a laundry list of claims against Blake related to her interactions with Justin during filming. In the lengthy filing, he accused her of not reading Colleen Hoover’s book before filming the movie adaptation of It Ends With Us, naming a cocktail after his character, Ryle, who is a domestic abuser, at a party for the film, and reportedly joked that he “should get plastic surgery” on his nose, as reported by People.

The legal documents include screenshots of text messages between Justin and Blake, and at one point, she brought up her close friend, Taylor Swift, calling her and husband Ryan Reynolds her “dragons.”

According to Page Six, Justin accused Blake of using Taylor and Ryan to pressure him into signing off on changes she made on the movie script, describing them as “two of the most influential and wealthy celebrities in the world, who were not afraid to make things very difficult for him.”

Blake has already fired back at Justin’s claims.

“This latest lawsuit from Justin Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios, and its associates is another chapter in the abuser playbook,” read a statement from Blake’s legal team, via the New York Post. “This is an age-old story: A woman speaks up with concrete evidence of sexual harassment and retaliation and the abuser attempts to turn the tables on the victim. This is what experts call DARVO. Deny. Attack. Reverse Victim Offender.”

The statement went on to claim that Justin was “falsely claiming that she seized creative control and alienated the cast from Mr. Baldoni” and that the evidence will show his claims don’t hold water.

“Their response to sexual harassment allegations: she wanted it, it’s her fault. Their justification for why this happened to her: look what she was wearing,” read the statement. “In short, while the victim focuses on the abuse, the abuser focuses on the victim. The strategy of attacking the woman is desperate, it does not refute the evidence in Ms. Lively’s complaint, and it will fail.”
