What to Know
It feels like Kai Trump thinks she’s in some kind of real life version of First Kid, the 1996 comedy about a Secret Service agent and his charge, the president’s son. Except, this is real life, and Kai might be Donald Trump’s granddaughter, but her dad, Donald Trump Jr., is definitely not the president. That hasn’t stopped Kai from using the White House as it suits her, though.
From taking photos of herself on the property to promoting her clothing brand to now sharing her own personal tour for the sake of her vlog, Kai is all about showing off how comfortable she is at the White House. A paranoid individual might take that to mean the Trump family has no intention of giving up the property at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. after Trump’s second term is over. But Kai just seems to love flexing as the president’s Gen Z granddaughter.
Kai Trump visited the White House for her vlog.
In a vlog on her YouTube channel, Kai visited the White House and used the opportunity to take her fans and followers on her own tour of the house. At one point, she mentioned how she used to play soccer down one particular hall. At another point in the video, Kai stands at a podium that Trump sometimes uses to speak to and address the press.
Kai also takes her cameraman through the Blue Room and Red Room, both historic parts of the White House. It feels almost like an episode of MTV’s Cribs. Except this is the actual White House and Kai is the ultimate nepobaby where the United States government is concerned. She seems totally unbothered by this fact though, so there’s that.
“So I actually know my way pretty well around this palace,” Kai says, as she heads outside to where the UFC fight preparations were being set up at the time of filming her vlog. “It’s not like I’ve been here for a few years.”
Kai also visits the Rose Garden, which was infamously partially paved over during Trump’s second term. She admits that it’s hot out on the pavement, and she leads her cameraman back inside.
She even sat in the Oval Office.

Kai also visits the Oval Office in her vlog about the White House. She points to all of the gold accents that Trump added in his second term and says that Trump has a “very very good attention to detail.” She then points out the red Diet Coke button on Trump’s desk. In any other situation, this might make the president seem hashtag relatable. But as such a polarizing fixture in politics, it’s hard for everyone to get behind this inside look from Kai.
“That not Kai’s house, it’s the house of American people,” someone wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Another person wrote, “So it’s now her house? Think people need to remind her, it’s the people’s house, and they’re going to be given an eviction notice soon. Wonder how many times she’s visited the red room of pain with grandad, hmmm? So Gramps left her there after he got booted out, so a freeloader.”
She toured the White House for her vlog before.
Months before Kai filmed and then posted the June 2026 video from the White House, she posted one about a “day in the life” at the White House. For that video, the point was more about it being a behind-the-scenes look at Kai’s photoshoot on the White House grounds for her clothing brand.
But, like the video she posted on YouTube in June 2026, it’s all about Kai showing off how she has the ability to take liberties with the property as Trump’s granddaughter.
