In case you missed it, Kate Gosselin is officially dating again. The Jon and Kate Plus 8 alum recently revealed that she’s been in a relationship for about 14 or 15 months. Though she and the mystery man haven’t been together for a super long time now, she admitted that he’s someone she has “known for a really long time.” Soon after Kate spilled the tea, Page Six reported that the mystery man is allegedly Steve Neild, who previously worked as a bodyguard for Kate’s family.
Understandably, fans (and those who live for the drama) have been waiting for more details, especially because Kate’s ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, accused her of ruining their marriage after an affair with Neild.
Amid the affair rumors, Kate’s boyfriend made an appearance in a livestream.

The appearance was not everything fans had been hoping for, as it was quite brief. However, they still enjoyed getting a glimpse of Kate’s boyfriend during a recent TikTok livestream. Lots of questions remain unanswered, but during the livestream, Kate’s boyfriend handed her a “yummy” latte, confirming that he does, indeed, exist (and may or may not be her former bodyguard).
Immediately, fans watching the livestream noticed “big hands” come into view, leading them to leave comments like, “Hello to the boyfriend!!”
Kate seemed to confirm that the person who handed her a mug was her boyfriend. “Yes, he handed me — he made me a latte ’cause I didn’t get time to make one before,” she said, per Page Six. “He’s very kind.”
Kate reminded her followers that her boyfriend is ‘not very fond’ of social media.

Clearly interested in Kate’s love life, a fan asked, “Can you do a live with your boyfriend in the future?” Kate sounded open to the idea, but she’s not sure that her boyfriend would be on board. “He’s not very fond,” she explained. “I won’t rule it out but, you know, he’s not overly crazy about this whole thing. We’ll see.” After hearing that so many fans wanted to see her boyfriend, she seemingly turned to him and said, “Are you listening to all this?”
One fan commented, “You deserve to be treated like a queen.” Kate simply responded with, “I agree.” Another person chimed in to say they “love this Kate era.” Kate agreed with this comment too, saying, “Yeah, this is a good Kate era. I agree. It’s very nice to be happy.”
After her relationship came to light, Jon publicly called her out.
If Steve really is Kate’s current boyfriend, he’s been in the picture for some time now. Steve started working for Kate in 2008, while she was still married to Jon. After the rumors that they’re now dating came to light, Jon and Collin Gosselin took to social media to perpetuate rumors that she had cheated on Jon.
Sharing a screenshot of the Page Six article about Kate and Steve, Jon wrote, “Guess who really ruined the marriage, read for yourself.” In the caption, he added, “Maybe when I speak people will listen now!!!”
Collin, who is estranged from his mom, defended his dad and accused his mom of having an affair. “What really upsets me is that my mom had an affair with our bodyguard way back in 2009, and for years would share hotel rooms with him while we went on family vacations, while I was in a connected room!” Collin wrote, per the New York Post. “Now everyone thinks her being with him is some cute novel romance.”
