It’s official: Kate Gosselin is off the market — and has been for a while. The former reality star made the big reveal over the weekend, when she took to Instagram to share 10 of her favorite things … and her boyfriend made the list. This isn’t the first time that he’s appeared in one of her social media posts, but it is the first time she’s been open about it.
Her boyfriend was included in her newest video.
In the video, which is captioned “one girl. 10 things I’m obsessed with,” Kate included photos of her children as the first on her list, followed closely by “my boyfriend.”
The photos of Kate and her man showed them posing together at the beach, and at another tropical location.
To round out her list, Kate included her dogs, her friends, her health, the ability to travel, and pizza, of course.
He has been identified as Steve Neild.
Page Six was the first to identify Kate’s boyfriend as Steve Neild, and if he looks familiar to you in the new photos Kate shared, there’s probably a reason for that: He’s actually her former bodyguard, going back to the Jon & Kate Plus 8 filming days.
According to the source who spoke to the outlet, Kate and Steve have been together for a long time now, and he even lives in her home.
“They have wedding plans, it’s that serious,” the source said. “There’s no doubt that Kate is crazy about him … things are serious, they have discussed wedding plans and moving on that next stage.”
Kate first hinted she had a boyfriend in September.
When she went live on TikTok earlier this year, Kate mentioned Steve, but at the same time, reminded fans that he’s “not overly crazy” about social media in general, so it doesn’t seem that we’re likely to see much of him going forward.
This new update comes after Kate’s son, Collin Gosselin, accused her of cheating on ex-husband Jon Gosselin with Steve while the show was still filming.
“What really upsets me is that my mom had an affair with our bodyguard way back in 2009, and for years would share hotel rooms with him while we went on family vacations, while I was in a connected room!” Collin wrote in a post on his Instagram Stories in September (via People). “Now everyone thinks her being with him is some cute novel romance.”
Fans are happy for her.
Kate’s comments are filled with messages from fans who are happy to see her happy.
“Hard launch!! I love it!! And sooooo happy for you!! You deserve all the good things that life can give you!!” one of her followers wrote.
Another of Kate’s fans said, “Steve!!! You and Steve!!!! I LOVE THIS!!! I always said to myself whenever I saw him on the show these two belong together. Love. Love. Love. Congratulations on you two.”
