It's no secret that there's been some drama circulating the royal family over the past few months. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have released several projects over the past few months intended to tell their side of all the royal drama from the past year years.
Of course, the royal family is unlikely to come right out and respond to the claims the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made over the past few months. Still, royal critics and fans are paying close attention.
A lack of an official statement does not indicate there's no message being sent.
According to royal experts, Kate Middleton may have tried to send a message through her jewelry — which the royal family has been known to do.
The Princess of Wales stepped out for an engagement on January 19 to meet with the England Wheelchair Rugby League players. A year ago, Kate was named the new patron of the Rugby Football League after Prince Harry moved to the United States and stepped back as a senior working royal.
And experts say there was a lot of 'cryptic' symbolism in Kate's outfit.
At the engagement, Kate re-wore a custom burgundy suit she had worn in Boston for the Earthshot Prize. During her visit to the US last month, along with Prince William, eyes were on them, wondering if they would meet up with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which didn't happen.
According to royal experts, Kate re-wearing that suit now, along with a necklace loaded with symbolism, might be a direct swipe at the Sussexes.
According to reports, the Princess of Wales paired her suit with a new necklace.
Express UK notes that Kate wore a necklace with a gemstone that "sends cryptic message" on how she feels about all the drama coming from the Sussexes.
The necklace is a Gold Citrine Baby Treasure Necklace by Daniella Draper, and the gemstone is said to help "manifest your biggest dreams, bring in more success and prosperity."
The gemstone is the birthstone for November, and royal experts say wearing it is a subtle hit back.
Express UK notes that the gemstone, citrine, is also known as a "healing quartz" and brings an "abundance of vitality and positive energy" to anyone who wears it.
And given how much drama has been circulating the royal family since Meghan and Harry's Netflix docuseries and Harry's book came out, it would make sense that Kate needs some positive energy to help clear out all the negative vibes.
Of course, royal experts are famous for reading into everything when there's nothing really there.
And that could certainly be the case here. Perhaps Kate just likes the necklace, and there is no meaning behind it other than that. But the royal family is famous for saying things with their outfits and accessories when they can't come right out and say something.
Given we're unlikely to hear an official statement on how the royals are coping with Harry and Meghan sharing their side of all the drama from the past six years, it's not farfetched that this necklace may be an intentional cryptic swipe.
