A Look Back at Kate Middleton’s Colorful Caribbean Tour Wardrobe

When we first heard that Kate Middleton and Prince William were embarking on an eight-day tour of the Caribbean, we had a feeling the Duchess of Cambridge was going to give us all the island vibes with her wardrobe — but we never could have predicted these looks! While visiting Belize, Jamaica, and the Bahamas, Kate really brought it in the style department, and most of her outfits were so different from what she normally wears.

From bold, bright colors and patterns to shimmery evening looks, Kate used this tour as an opportunity to take a few style risks, and they definitely paid off. In fact, some of these looks really have us wishing that Kate would repeat these pieces in her wardrobe at home in England.

Here are all of Kate's most memorable (and colorful) outfits from her tour with William. We're getting so much summer style inspiration from these photos!

When Kate first landed in Belize on the first day of the tour, we couldn't have possibly predicted that she was going to go so bold in her fashion choices. Sure, this lacy dress is a very bright color, but Kate is known for wearing shades of blue that are similar to her sapphire engagement ring.

By the second day of the tour, we started getting the feeling that something would be a bit different about Kate's looks this time around. Here, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are checking out a chocolate factory, and Kate is decked out in a gorgeous printed maxi dress and coordinating earrings. The color is totally Kate, but the pattern isn't — in the best way.

Hot Pink Vibes

Kate really killed it in this sparkly pink gown from The Vampire's Wife. It's a much bolder look than we're used to from her — especially with that clutch — but we wish she'd pull looks like this out of her closet more often. The sleek, pin-straight hair was working for her, too.

On the Sunny Side

By the time William and Kate got to Kingston, Jamaica, Kate was armed with another electrifying look — this time in all yellow. This dress was as bright as the sun and certainly made a statement, so it's no wonder she kept her earrings and bracelet so low-key.

Island Time

In Jamaica, Kate pulled out a dress that we're sure will become one of her most iconic looks. She wore this colorful striped dress while visiting Trench Town, and kept with the straight hair she'd been sporting the entire tour. How pretty is this?

Of course, Kate always looks good when she flies. Here, she (appropriately) decided to go for a coral look — and it wouldn't be the only time she made that choice this tour. She paired white pants with a belted coral top and matching white bag as she prepared to jet off to her next destination in style.

All Business But Bold

By day five of their tour, Kate was really in her groove — but she knows when it's time to bring out the business casual wear. Here, she wore a white suit over a coral blouse on a visit to the Shortwood Teachers' College in Kingston to talk about one of her passions: education.

Kate definitely caught everyone's attention in this dress! While attending a formal dinner in Jamaica, she wore this show-stopping green gown that immediately drew comparisons to a dress that Princess Diana once wore. Taking notes from her mother-in-law, a fellow fashion icon.

Though Kate wore a lot of bold looks on this trip, one of her colorful dresses was a bit more muted — but still so pretty. She wore this pastel blue dress on day six of the tour, when she and William arrived in the Bahamas for the last leg of their trip.

When William and Kate left Jamaica for the Bahamas, our girl got all dressed up (as usual). This time, she chose a solid green dress that was all about color, pairing it with nude heels that let her bright frock shine.

Once she was in the Bahamas, Kate kept her look green, but pulled a totally different dress out of her collection. This one was more of a seafoam color with a much lighter and more flowy fabric. We're loving those puffed sleeves on Kate as she greeted people in Parliament Square.

Here, the color of Kate's dress isn't quite as bold as the way it shines! While attending a formal reception in the Bahamas, Kate pulled out all the stops — an ice blue satin gown, gorgeous makeup, and a sleek hairstyle. Sorry, William, you're just an accessory at this point.

Ready for a Fish Fry

No one can ever say that Kate Middleton isn't ready to get her hands dirty while out on a royal engagement! Here she is in the Bahamas, making conch salad at a fish fry, with knife in hand and everything while wearing a gorgeous pink shirtdress.

On Parade

Being a royal couple (and the future king and queen consort of England) means that occasionally, these two are going to have to be in a parade. This ended up being one of Kate's most low-key looks all tour, even though it was probably the moment she was most at the center of attention. Still, this lacy white dress (a throwback to a look Queen Elizabeth wore in the 1950s) was gorgeous on her.

All good things must come to an end — including William and Kate's Caribbean tour. When they departed the Bahamas, Kate once again dressed a lot fancier than most of us do when flying — this belted yellow peplum dress gave us all the vintage vibes.
