With King Charles' coronation just a matter of days away, people are starting to wonder about the finer details of the event — like what the royals will wear on the big day. But when it comes to Kate Middleton's outfit, it sounds like she will truly be dressing to stand out. And why shouldn't she? Next time there's a coronation, it will be her on the throne!

There will be a lot of thought put behind Kate's outfit.

"I think Kate will wear something thoughtful that will in some way show her loyalty to King Charles," Bethan Holt, fashion director of The Daily Telegraph, told People. "She will recognize this as a huge moment, and I think we'll see something that sets her apart from the crowd."
This is not a day to blend into the crowd, after all!
The stakes are high for Kate.

"It's quite nice for her in a way that she can really make this her own, as every time she's on a tour, either the Queen or Diana has been there before — and there's an expectation," Holt said.
But attending a coronation like this is all Kate, and she really has an opportunity to shine.
There's a good chance she'll wear something designed by Alexander McQueen.
McQueen has been her go-to designer for all of the major moments in her royal life — after all, he did design her wedding dress. But Holt is holding out hope that Kate might decide to switch things up.
"While tradition would lean towards a full-length ivory gown, so many rules have changed. She might just surprise us!" she said.

Other royal experts hope that Kate will pay tribute to her new role of Princess of Wales.

The Court Jeweller's Lauren Kiehna told People she hopes to see "references" to her new title in Kate's outfit.
"The incorporation of symbolic jewelry, like Queen Alexandra's Three Feathers Brooch, or the inclusion of national symbols like the leek or daffodil embroidered on her dress, would be a lovely nod," she said.
Whatever she chooses, we can't wait to see it.
Even though the day really is about King Charles and Camilla, we know that all eyes will be on Kate, Will, and their children — the next generation of the monarchy, of course.
Kate's never let us down before, so we can't wait to see the undoubtedly perfect ensemble she ultimately chooses to wear on such a big day.
