There are a lot of reasons people like Kate Middleton, and over the weekend, appreciation for her hit a new level after she participated in a surprise musical performance.
The Princess of Wales appeared in the opening sequence film for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final.
According to People Kate joined the 2022 Eurovision winner, Kalush Orchestra, as it presented its winning performance, “Stefania,” to mark the finale of this year’s contest.
Kate’s appearance was filmed earlier this month in the Crimson Drawing Room of Windsor Castle.
Sitting at a grand piano, Kate’s instrumental performance was created and composed by Joe Price and Kojo Samuel.
The number was short, no more than 10 seconds, but Kate made an impact on those who were watching.
She also looked stunning, wearing a beautiful cobalt blue gown.
Kensington Palace released a set of photos of Kate recording her musical number in her one-shouldered gown by Jenny Packham, according to Harper's Bazaar.
In one photo, Kate is smiling while sitting at the piano with her hands on the keys. A second photo, which shows a wide angle of the room she’s in, Kate is still at the piano while looking out a window.
Kate’s involvement in Eurovision was a complete surprise.
The Princess of Wales surprised everyone with her involvement in the contest because it was kept a complete secret until the broadcast aired. And when the images and clips were shared on social media, the comment section filled with people wondering if there is anything Kate can’t accomplish.
“Amazing … What can’t she do?!” one person wrote.
“I jumped on my seat when I saw Princess Catherine playing the piano on tv!,” another person shared.
“Just when you though she had won us all over! She’s even more amazing,” a comment on Instagram read.
'Just when I thought she couldn’t be more perfect,' exclaimed another fan.
“I never knew I was going to shift so bad from my crush on Prince William to crushing on this beautiful human being who this world calls Princess Catherine," one person wrote.
“So the Princess of Wales is beautiful, kind, would look stunning even in a burlap sack, can walk gracefully in 3 inch heels in the snow, and can also play the piano. Is there anything she can’t do?!?" another commenter shared.

This is the second time Kate has surprised people with a piano performance.
In December 2021, Kate hosted a Christmas carol concert and joined singer Tom Walker performing “For Those Who Can’t Be Here,” which was her first public performance.
