Kate Middleton’s Most Trusted Aide Worked 15 Years for the Royals & Left Feeling Undervalued

Have you ever thought about all of the people working behind the scenes when it comes to the royal family? If you stop to think about the sheer number of public appearances they all have to make, along with meetings, appointments, traveling, and more, there is just so much planning and scheduling that goes along with being a member of the royal family. Kate Middleton‘s longtime senior private executive assistant, Natasha Archer, who supported the family for 15 years, is opening up about some of her frustrations with her role working for the Prince and Princess of Wales. Honestly, she says some things that might surprise you.

When you work for the royal family for years, there’s naturally going to be some public interest for the simple fact that people want to know what your work was like and what happened behind the scenes.

According to the Telegraph, Natasha Archer worked as a senior private executive assistant to Prince William and Kate Middleton for 15 years, which included helping Kate with her many style choices, but that wasn’t all she did for the family.

She finds it “quite frustrating” that the people didn’t really understand the full scope of her job working for the royal family from 2010 to 2025. According to the publication, Natasha supported Kate and William “through every milestone the couple navigated” while also staying on top of scheduling and serving as a “project manager, a sounding board, and a confidante.”

It really sounds like she was with them every step of the way.

Since leaving her royal role, Natasha has founded her own luxury consultancy firm.

Natasha told the Telegraph she’s often “referred to as a stylist,” but now that she’s opened her own luxury consultancy firm, she wants people to know she’s really “looking at everything.” She feels like she has a “unique talent that [she] can bring to specific people.”

As for what she brings to the table, she explains, “Precision is one of [her] keywords.” She also thinks she brings a special look at helping clients “understand where they are going” in a practical sense. For example, she used to have to think about “everything” for the royal family, even in terms of “how hot” the weather is going to be where they’re going, if it was going to be windy, and whether or not they were “going to be sitting in a prominent position.”

We’re thinking there are definitely some celebrities who might benefit from her consulting style.

Even though there were some frustrations, she holds her work with the royal family “close to her heart.”

One thing she didn’t fully spill in her interview with the Telegraph was the ins and outs of her private relationship with Kate and William. She explains that she’s “built up [her] reputation on such discretion,” but it calls her 15-year professional relationship with the royal family “an extraordinary privilege” that she holds “so close to [her] heart.”

Imagine those 15 years, though. She’s seen Kate and her family through everything from very public family dramas to deaths within the family, and the raising of multiple children. It’s really quite remarkable.

She told the outlet, “I’ve made incredible friendships there and I look back on my memories totally fondly and I just feel really grateful to have had that opportunity.”

We totally respect her position and dedication to her career, especially now that she’s branching out, but it sure would have been nice if she spilled just a little bit of tea! Perhaps at a later date.
