Kate Middleton’s Parenting Methods Show She’s Ushering in a ‘Millennial Monarchy’

Being the Princess of Wales is a big job, but at the same time, Kate Middleton has also been tasked with raising the future king of England — no big deal, right? But according to royal experts, not only is she doing an excellent job bringing up Prince George and his younger siblings, she’s also ushering in a new era of the “millennial monarchy,” all with the help of Prince William.

Will and Kate are making an effort to give their kids a ‘normal’ life.

In a new special issue of People, royal experts and insiders confirmed that Will and Kate are raising kids George, Charlotte, and Louis with as much of a “sense of normalcy” as possible while also being part of the royal family.

“The Waleses have gone to great lengths to provide their three children with as normal a childhood as possible … But they’ve also long been installing a broader sense of duty,” royals writer Richard Jerome said.

One moment in particular showed Kate shining as a mom to a future king.

As part of the royal couple’s effort to raise their children with a “service-first” mindset, Richard opened up about what happened when Kate brought her kids to volunteer at a baby bank in Windsor in December 2023. The family helped sort clothes and toys for families who needed them, and at the end, Kate made sure the kids walked away with the right lesson.

“At the end of their shift, she put her arm around George and said, ‘You can see how rewarding this kind of work is, knowing you are helping out others,'” Richard said.

A royal source said Kate ‘takes things seriously.’

And at a time when many have questioned whether the monarchy can survive into the future, it sounds like that’s exactly what they need.

“She has this public image of being nice and smiley, but she is actually strong-minded, strong-willed and prepared to fight for what she wants and what she thinks is right,” royal author Valentine Low told People.

Kate and William are preparing to rule ‘sooner than expected.’

With King Charles battling cancer, it sounds like Will and Kate are preparing themselves to take the throne earlier than they expected it would happen, but the sources who spoke with People seem confident that they’re up for the challenge.

As king and queen, it’s believed that Will and Kate will “bring a new generation’s energy,” which seems to be exactly what the monarchy needs at a time like this.
