Kate’s uncle is speaking out.
Gary Goldsmith, who is Kate’s mom Carole Middleton’s younger brother, is competing on Celebrity Big Brother UK. As the New York Daily News reported, on the season premiere, Gary and another contestant, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, talked about the situation. At this point, it sounds like Gary’s following the family orders — kind of.
He said Kate isn’t interested in talking about her surgery.
So out of respect for that, he isn’t going to share what he knows publicly, either, but the family has “put wagons down” and is making sure Kate comes first right now.
That’s exactly what she needs as she recovers from a major surgery, but still. What’s the reason for all the secrets?
Gary is willing to share his thoughts under one condition.
That condition is that Kate must decide to open up about her health crisis first.
"The last thing I’m going to do is — there’s a kind of code of etiquette. If it’s announced, I’ll give you an opinion," he said. "I think the most important thing … she’s getting the best care in the world."

He pointed people to the palace’s official statements.
So far, those statements have been rather vague and obviously haven’t offered up the proof people want to know that Kate’s OK, but Uncle Gary seems to think we should trust them.
“She just takes some time to recoup and we’ll see you [at] Easter,” he said.
Hopefully, Kate truly is recovering as well as the palace says she is.
Those photos of her last week haven’t done much to quell fans’ fears about Kate. In fact, it seems that they’ve only sparked brand-new conspiracy theories about where she has been and why.
Maybe Kate should avoid the internet as she finishes up her recovery. Just a thought!
