Kate Middleton Is Already ‘Working From Bed’ Days After Coming Home From the Hospital

Kate Middleton has only been home from the hospital for a few days following major abdominal surgery, but it sounds like she's already itching to get back to her job as the Princess of Wales. According to sources close to the royals, Kate is already "working from bed" now that she's recovering at her family's home in Windsor, and it sounds like she's trying to set the wheels in motion for the time when she is finally able to return to making royal engagements in person again.

Kate was discharged from the hospital earlier this week.

Though Kensington Palace has been keeping tight-lipped when it comes to the medical details of Kate's condition, officials did share an update earlier this week that let royal watchers know that she's on the road to recovery. On Monday, Kate was discharged after spending 13 days in the hospital after having surgery, and she's not expected to return to her royal duties until after the Easter holiday.

It sounds like Kate's already prepared to get back into her old routine.

According to what a royal insider told Us Weekly, Kate is "back working from her bed" and "planning engagements and speaking with her team."

The source added, "Kate will still be healing for several weeks but is already eager to get back to work."

She may choose to open up about her condition eventually.

The fact that Kate requires so much time off of work following her surgery has people worried — and more curious than ever about what procedure, exactly, she has undergone. Although she's choosing to keep that private for now, that may change soon, as another royal source told the magazine that she "may disclose more information" when she is ready.

Even though it's understand that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis didn't visit their mom in the hospital, it sounds like they're taking on the role of cheering her up now that she is back at home with them.

"They’ve all made her some 'get well soon' cards along with some of her favorite snacks," the source said.

It sounds like Kate wants to keep things as normal as possible for her children at this time.

Royal expert Ingrid Seward told People that Kate doesn't want her kids to worry, so she FaceTimed with them from the hospital rather than having them visit her in person.

"I don't think she wanted to make more of a big thing of it than it already was. They'll be rallying 'round in their own way and helping to look after her," Seward said.

Hopefully with her family around to help, Kate will be feeling better in no time.
