Katey Duggar may have her hands full with four children younger than 3, but she is never too busy to put internet trolls in their place. After one of husband Jed Duggar‘s Instagram followers suggested that he get a vasectomy to avoid having more kids, Katey had the perfect comeback ready and waiting.
It started with Jed making a major dad brag.
In a video he shared on Instagram recently, he showed off the way he managed to handle a trip to the store on his own with all four kids, including infant twins Emma and Elsie: by craftily loading them all onto the same flat shopping cart.
Using a quote from The Office for the video, Michael Scott can be heard saying, “When they look back on this day in the history books, all that will be remembered is that I had a good idea, and that’s what I’m going to write in my diary.”
Katey noticed a comment one of his followers left.
In response to Jed carting so many kiddos around a store, one follower wrote, “A vasectomy would fix that!”
Katey wasn’t about to let it slide, though. She replied, “good thing nothing needs to be fixed,” adding an eye roll emoji at the end.
Fortunately, there were far more positive comments on the post, including one from a fellow parent who wished they’d had this idea first, so at least it wasn’t all bad. Still, it’s pretty wild to suggest a vasectomy to a total stranger online, even if you have seen them on reality TV.
Jed and Katey have been vague when it comes to their future with more kids.
Back in March, one fan asked Katey if she and Jed were planning to have more kids now that they’re a family of six, and it sounds like they’re both still open to the possibility of more.
“Neither of us ‘feel done’ quite yet, but we’ll see!” Katey wrote.
In that case, anyone hoping that Jed will get a vasectomy should probably dream another dream. It seems like these two might be adding even more kiddos to their crew before we know it.
