It’s hard to believe that Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise’s daughter, Suri, is now 18 years old and a college freshman – time really flies! But after a report claimed that Suri has recently come into some money now that she’s legally an adult, her mom is setting the record straight. According to Katie, the rumors couldn’t be farther from the truth.

One report claimed that Suri has reached millionaire status.
According to what a source told The Daily Mail, a trust fund from Tom – who Suri reportedly hasn’t seen in years – kicked in when she turned 18 in April.
“It is part of the divorce deal that a trust fund provided by Tom Cruise be shared with daughter Suri Cruise when she turns 18, and it is substantial,” the source said.
This was supposedly just part of a payout that Tom was required to make to his daughter.
“The rest of the money will become available to her once she enters her 30s. The trust fund was carefully constructed so that she does not get all the money at once and becomes overwhelmed,” the insider added.
The source went on to say that Katie has a trust fund set aside for her daughter of her own, in the hopes that Suri will be “well provided for and have a great quality of life.”
Katie didn’t waste time commenting on the situation.
The first post from Katie came just a couple of days after the Daily Mail’s story went live. She shared a meme that read “‘Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.’ – William Shakespeare.”
She kept her caption simple, only including three winking emojis followed by a butterfly emoji.

That wasn’t all she had to say on the subject.
On Sunday, Katie returned to Instagram to share a screenshot of the Daily Mail’s story, writing over it, “Completely false. Daily Mail you can stop making stuff up.”
This time, in her caption, she wrote, “Enough.”
It seems Suri and Tom have been estranged for some time.
The father and daughter haven’t been seen together publicly for years, and he was missing from her high school graduation earlier this year. But considering how rare it is for Katie to talk about anything involving her daughter, especially on social media, it appears this mama bear doesn’t want anyone to get anything wrong about what her daughter’s life looks like now that she’s entering adulthood.
