It’s not unusual for parents to keep certain childhood mementos, like their baby’s first outfit, favorite toys, or items that represent significant milestones in their parenting journey. During a recent interview, singer Katy Perry opened up about one of the items she can’t seem to let go of: the at-home pregnancy test she used when she found out she was pregnant with her daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, who is now 4 years old.

She shared a photo of the test.
During a Wednesday, January 22, interview with Capital FM, Katy displayed a photo of the at-home pregnancy test she used when she found out she was expecting her daughter with her fiancé Orlando Bloom. “Here is my pee stick test for when I conceived my daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom,” Katy said in the video.
While it might be ‘weird,’ Katy said she doesn’t care.
When Katy found out the exciting news, Orlando wasn’t around, she revealed. She FaceTimed him to tell him about the positive test. “Orlando was gone and I called him,” she said. “I FaceTimed him, I was on a hike. I was like, ‘Guess what?’”
“And I still have it and that’s weird, but it’s not,” she added. “I don’t care.”

She keeps it in an interesting spot.
Katy and Orlando keep the pregnancy test next to a lot of other items that are important to them. During the interview, Katy revealed that it’s currently “in a drawer with lots of things.” Orlando also keeps one of his prized possessions in the same drawer: his Legolas ears from Lord of the Rings. “[The pregnancy test] is probably right next to Orlando’s Legolas ears,” Katy joked. “Just like all the most important things.”
Katy shared a photo of the pregnancy test on Mother’s Day last year.
She also shared several previously unseen photos and videos from her pregnancy. The post included a screenshot of her FaceTime call with Orlando and several mirror selfies in which she showed off her baby bump. “Today I told my mother that the day I realized how much she loved me is the day I had my own daughter, Daisy Dove … there is nothing like a Mother’s love … never take it for granted … Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers and caretakers — any way you come,” Katy wrote at the time.
Her relationship with her own parents changed after becoming a mother.
In September 2024, Katy spoke about motherhood while on the Call Her Daddy podcast. “After having my child — I always respected my mother — but the level of respect for my mother, my parents in general, it just went through the roof,” Katy said at the time. “Because I was like, ‘How did you keep us alive? Without iPads?'”
