Kelly Osbourne Defends Herself Against Online Critics Over Her Weight Loss

Kelly Osbourne‘s changing looks have been a topic conversation over the past couple of years, and now, they seem to have reached a fever pitch after the former reality star’s most recent public appearances.

People have become especially critical when it comes to Kelly’s recent weight loss, and the comments have gotten so bad that she’s now fighting back.

Kelly has a noticeably smaller figure these days.

And if you follow the 41 year old on social media, chances are good that you’ve noticed the comments about her weight.

The comments became particularly prominent at the end of November, when Kelly shared a photo from her night out at a launch for fashion designer Rebecca Vallance in an Instagram post. Even though Kelly said the pink dress she wore that night made her “feel amazing,” fans had other thoughts on their minds.

“Skeleton Ozempic face… love the Osbournes, hate what this drug is doing to everyone,” one person wrote. Another comment read, “Kelly you are beautiful but your body is not meant to be this thin it just doesn’t look right.”

Now, she’s explaining the reason for her weight loss.

In a post she shared on Instagram (and has since deleted), Kelly went on a rant about the kinds of comments she’s been receiving about her appearance that are simply unacceptable — especially since she’s struggling to eat because of the grief she’s been experiencing after father Ozzy Osbourne’s death.

“To the people who keep thinking they’re being funny and mean by writing comments like ‘Are you ill,’ or ‘Get off Ozempic, you don’t look right.’ My dad just died, and I’m doing the best that I can, and the only thing I have to live for right now is my family,” she said, via People. “And I choose to share my content with you and share the happy side of my life not the miserable side of my life.

During Sharon Osbourne’s interview with Piers Morgan this week, the talk show host showed her a clip of one of Kelly’s rants, and she totally had her daughter’s back.

“She’s right. She’s lost her daddy, she can’t eat right now,” Sharon said.

Fans are also coming to her defense.

Now that Kelly has had her chance to say her piece, the comments coming from fans on her latest Instagram post (which she shared Thursday) are all defending her. “I think what you said is important,” one person wrote. “No one should judge someone whose pain they cannot understand.”

Speaking more generally, another commenter said, “It’s almost 2026, how about we don’t comment on someone’s body. It’s THEIRS.”

There’s no doubt that this has been a difficult time for Kelly’s family, and hopefully, she’ll find it easier to carry her grief over losing her dad soon.
