What to Know
Leave it to Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos to overshare about what goes on in their bedroom on broadcast television. These two have never heard of the term TMI, and that definitely did not change on Tuesday’s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark. Their debate about morning sex has been reignited, and it sounds like Kelly isn’t changing her mind on this one anytime soon.
The first time this topic came up was last year.
During a July 2025 appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Kelly admitted that Mark only wants to have sex in the mornings, which doesn’t work for her.
At the time, she said she told Mark, ““There needs to be a yin and a yang here. It can’t always be your way. ‘Cause it feels like 90 percent of the time it’s your way. And now that we work together every day, it’s gonna have to sometimes be my way, and my way’s at night only.”
She added that she just didn’t feel like she was in the mood to get intimate first thing in the morning, but fortunately, their early schedules with Live had helped put a stop to it. “I’m already pre-disgusted for tomorrow morning,” she said. “The greatest thing about this job, this thing has like, almost repulsed him from morning time during the work week, which is like a miracle.”
One of Kelly and Mark’s guests brought up the debate again on Tuesday.
When Scrubs star Christa Miller sat down with Kelly and Mark on Tuesday morning’s episode, she immediately brought up their morning sex debate.
“I watch this show, I’m a fan. And, Mark, I’m going to say this with love. There’s no morning sex,” she said. “No one likes it. And not even on the weekends.”
She also gave a little insight into the way things work with her husband, Bill Lawrence: “My window is in the afternoon, it’s a short window. And also, Bill has to be home and also not bugging me. There are a lot of steps. A lot of hurdles.”
It doesn’t sound like Mark has made much progress with this one.
Much like Kelly did last summer, Mark admitted that the schedule the couple keeps with Live on weekday mornings has been the “antidote” to making morning sex possible.
Kelly’s mind hasn’t changed since then, either — and she was even willing to help Christa out by speaking to her husband directly to the camera. She said, “Bill, for the love of God, on behalf of all of us here in the studio audience, there is absolutely no morning sex.”
The matter is settled for now, but it wouldn’t be surprising if this debate comes up again in the future!
