On an episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians, Khloé Kardashian took part in different photo shoots – but fans noticed that the photo used to promote Khloé’s podcast looked nothing like the way Khloé, 40, appeared on the show. Some even suggested that she didn’t look “human” and looked more like a “cartoon” in the edited photos.
A fan pointed out that Khloé ‘looked great’ on the show.
In a post on Reddit, the fan expressed concern over the edited photos. Notably, the fan had nothing bad to say about Khloé’s appearance. Instead, the person didn’t like the way the edited photos seemed to look nothing like her. “They showed the actual edited cover they selected and I almost spat my water out,” the fan wrote. “How can anyone approve that? It doesn’t even look like her.”
The fan went on to say that Khloé is “beautiful” but “doesn’t look like (the edited photo) at all.” The person actually felt sorry for The Kardashians star but at the same time, accused her of perpetuating unrealistic beauty standards. “It breaks my heart for her, because she doesn’t need to do all this editing,” the fan continued. “Also frustrating because she denies editing her face.”
The edited photo seemed to be for Khloé’s podcast.

Khloé launched her podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, in January. But after seeing footage from Khloé’s photo shoots on The Kardashians in April, the photo editing became more apparent to fans. One fan pointed out that those who selected the promo photo for Khloé’s podcast seemed “to go with AI version looking nothing like a human.”
Seeing the nonedited photo and the edited photo side by side, one fan commented, “these are two completely different people.”
Another critic of the edited photo claimed that Khloé edits photos so much that she “ends up looking like a cartoon.” A fourth added that “Khloe is a beautiful woman but holy s— they really promote unrealistic beauty standards. That doesn’t look like the same person.”
People have criticized Khloé’s appearance for years, prompting her to address some of the comments.
She addressed the criticism on a 2021 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. “My soul is at a breaking point in regards to the public thinking they’re allowed to talk about my weight, my face, my personal life,” she said on the show at the time. She also admitted to making some changes to her photos and said she appreciates “a good filter, good lighting and an edit here and there.”
Khloé recently opened up about the way people have talked about her body.
During an interview with Bustle, Khloé said people criticized her body when she was “bigger” – and then continued to do so after she lost weight. “I was fat-shamed every day when I was bigger, and then when I lost weight, people were like, ‘How dare you, you are so insecure, you’re following society,’” she said. “And I’m like, ‘OK, you guys are so confusing!’”
She added that she actually had more confidence before she lost weight. “Looking back, when I was bigger, I thought I was the hottest thing in the world,” she told the publication. “I had so much more confidence the bigger I was, which is what’s crazy. And then the more in shape I am, the more insecure I can get because I’m so hard on myself.”
Some fans are concerned about the way Khloé talks about her body.
On social media, fans have reacted to comments Khloé has made about her body in recent years. “It’s so sad that [Khloé] still continues to speak like she weighed 600lbs,” one Kardashians viewer wrote on X. “She’s NEVER been fat and it’s such a dangerous, sad & awful message to send to viewers.”
Another fan was shocked to see what Khloé looked like when people referred to her as “the fat sister.” The person wrote, “I’ve been watching Keeping up with the Kardashians. KHLOE WAS NEVER FAT.”
In 2015, Khloé seemed to acknowledge this when speaking to People. “[In reality] I wasn’t fat; I wasn’t obese,” she said at the time. “But I would let society make me believe that I was.”
