Khloé Kardashian is sharing how she feels about the surrogacy process and the complicated feelings that come with it. On this week's season premiere of The Kardashians, Khloé admitted she felt less connected to her son than she did to her first child, daughter True, who she carried herself.

Khloé talked about her feelings about surrogacy in the premiere episode.
She was talking to Scott Disick and sister Kim Kardashian (who has used a surrogate in the past herself) about how hard it was to process her son's birth because she wasn't truly a part of it the way she was when True was born.
"I definitely was in a state of shock from my entire experience. I felt really guilty that this woman just had my baby and I take the baby and I go in another room and we are sort of separated," she said. "I felt that it was such a transactional experience because it's not about him."
Kim could relate.
Kim's two youngest children, Chicago and Psalm, were born via surrogate, and Kim could totally understand where Khloé was coming from.
"I do think there is a difference when the baby is in your belly, the baby actually feels your real heart. There is no one else on this planet who will feel you from the inside like that," Kim said in the episode. "People can connect in different ways, some cannot connect."
Khloé felt like she 'buried her head in the sand' during her surrogate's pregnancy.
But to be totally fair, it was a particularly challenging time in her life. Although Khloe was preparing to add another baby to her family, she had just found out that Tristan Thompson had not only cheated on her again but that he had also conceived a child with the woman he cheated with, Maralee Nichols.
"I think when I went to the hospital, I really think that was the first time that it really registered," she said, adding that her feelings about the process have "nothing to do with the baby."

She admitted she wished she knew more about surrogacy going in.
It doesn't sound like Khloé would ever take back her decision to bring baby Tatum into the world — just that she wishes she'd gone into the process a bit more prepared.
"I wish someone was honest about surrogacy and the difference of it," she said. "It doesn't mean it's bad or good. It's still great. It's just very different."
It will be interesting to see what this season holds for Khloé.
For most of her son's life, Khloé has kept him hidden from the world — which hasn't been the case for 5-year-old True, who frequently makes appearances on her mama's social media posts. Maybe now that The Kardashians is back, we'll see more of Tatum soon.
