In case it wasn't clear, Khloé Kardashian's love life has long been a thing of interest to the public. It's been full of big names, rumors, drama, and heartbreak, and she just can't seem to find a guy worthy of her. Back in 2017, when the reality TV star started dating professional basketball player Tristan Thompson, it seemed the tide was turning and that she had finally found someone who valued her and appreciated her. And then he cheated. And if one kind of cheating is worse than another, Tristan's brand of cheating was arguably the worst kind.

September 2016: Reports of the New Couple Surface
On September 2, 2016, TMZ was the first media outlet to report that Khloé and Tristan were dating. "The two have been spending some serious quality time together," TMZ reported after a source spotted them together at Bootsy Bellows nightclub in West Hollywood, California. At the time, though, it was still unclear if they were just friends or something more.
Khloé and Tristan Meet Up in Miami
A few weeks later, Khloé and Tristan were spotted together at Zuma Restaurant and LIV Nightclub in Miami, this time holding hands. It was clear that Khloé was ready to go public when she shared pictures of their evening together — including a photo of them kissing — on her Snapchat account. Their relationship was official from that point on.
December 2016: Tristan Becomes a Dad
It turns out that Tristan's ex-girlfriend, Jordan Craig, was pregnant with his first child when he started dating Khloé. Jordan gave birth to their son on December 12, 2016, just a few months after Khloé and Tristan went public with their relationship. It's unclear how long before he and Khloé got together he and Jordan split.
Tristan & Khloé Spend Their First Christmas Together
On December 26, 2016, Tristan celebrated his and Khloé's first Christmas together by posting a photo of them on his Instagram account together for the first time. "Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays from me and mines, to you and yours," he captioned the photo, making it pretty clear that things were serious between him and Khloé.
March 2017: Still Going Strong
On March 14, 2017, Khloé Kardashian hosted a birthday party for Tristan, showing the world that six months in their relationship was still going strong. "May God continue to bless you in all of your days! And may we forever look at one another like this," she wrote alongside a picture of her and Tristan enjoying some birthday cake together.
June 2017: Tristan Returns the Favor
On June 27, 2017 — a couple of months after Khloé confessed that she was in love — Tristan threw a birthday party for Khloé, sharing some adorable photo booth shots of them goofing off together. "Let's continue to build more memories and cherish them with each other," he wrote.
September 2017: Baby on Board
In September 2017, a year after Khloé and Tristan went public with their relationship, reports surfaced that Khloé was pregnant with her first child. The news came just days after it was rumored that her younger sister, Kylie Jenner, was also pregnant with her first child with then-boyfriend Travis Scott. But, Khloé and Tristan didn't comment publicly.
December 2017: The Big Announcement
A few months later, in December, just before Christmas, Khloé confirmed the pregnancy in an emotional Instagram post. Khloé, who had publicly revealed her desire to be a mother a number times over the years wrote, "My greatest dream realised! We are having a baby," alongside a photo of her belly with Tristan's arms wrapped around it.
March 2018: Gender Reveal
After Khloé and Tristan confirmed they were expecting a child, the rest of Khloé's experience was documented on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and on the March 3 episode, Khloé revealed to the public that she was expecting a little girl. "I just was convinced that I was having a boy, so to be having a girl, it's just like, 'OK, that wasn't what I thought was going on,'" she said.
April 2018: The Beginning of the End
Just days before Khloé was due to deliver her daughter, TMZ broke the news that Tristan had been caught cheating on Khloé. The media outlet had obtained video of him arriving at the Four Seasons Hotel in New York City around 5 a.m. — with a woman who was most definitely not Khloé — after spending most of the evening at a nightclub.
Khloé Gives Birth
During the two days following news of Tristan's infidelity, Kris Jenner and the rest of the family rallied around Khloé while she waited to give birth. On April 12, 2018, she delivered her and Tristan's daughter, True, at a hospital near Tristan's home in Cleveland, Ohio. Tristan was present for the birth of their little girl.
May 2018: Second Chances
Less than a month after Tristan's cheating scandal, and the birth of baby girl True, Us Weekly reported that Khloé had forgiven Tristan, and that they were back together. A source told the publication that the couple was "fully back together," even though rumors has suggested that Tristan had actually cheated with five different women.
June 2018-February 2019: Happy Family
… well, sort of.
For almost a year following True's birth, Khloé and Tristan seemed to be on the right track. They were doing well as new parents and seemed to be as in love as ever, but apparently, doubts started to creep in during the fall 2018. At that time there were new rumors that Tristan was flirting with other women, and Khloé was second-guessing her decision to move to Cleveland to be with him.
February 2019: Khloé Calls It Quits
In February 2019, nearly a year after his initial betrayals, Khloé finally broke up with Tristan after spending Valentine's Day alone, while Tristan went to hang out at a bar. Shortly after, the real jaw-dropper of their situation would come to light, apparently ending their romantic relationship for good.
Reports Tristan Cheated With Kylie Jenner's BFF Surface
Days later, news broke that Tristan had kissed Kylie Jenner's best friend, Jordyn Woods, at an after-party at his home after a night of clubbing and drinking. At first, Jordyn denied the claims, but eventually confessed that he had kissed her as she was leaving his home — but said that she did not reciprocate.
April 2019: True's First Birthday
Although it wasn't an easy decision to make so soon after their breakup, Khloé famously allowed Tristan to attend their daughter's first birthday party — against the advice of her famous family, who had basically disowned him. But in the episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians that corresponded to the party, Khloé made it abundantly clear that she would not ever deprive her daughter of a relationship with her father.
April 2019-January 2020: Co-Parenting & More
Once Khloé and Tristan broke the ice at True's party, they were able to start the process of learning to co-parent, which they were both incredibly committed to. Over the next several months, they traveled back and forth between California and Cleveland, so True could spend time with her father. Tristan also seemed to be determined to woo Khloé back. He bought her expensive gifts, called her repeatedly to praise her as a woman and a mother, and posted sweet messages to her on social media — all of which was documented on KUWTK.
March 2020: Quarantine
In March 2020, Us Weekly confirmed that Khloé and Tristan decided to quarantine together during the global health crisis. When they later learned Khloé had the virus, Tristan took care of both her and True while she was recovering and self-isolating in her home. They've spent most of the year living closely together.
August 2020: Together Again
In August, reports surfaced that Tristan and Khloé were officially back together. "Khloé is hopeful that Tristan has changed for good and will continue to grow and be the great and loyal partner that he has been throughout their time together during the quarantine," a source told Us Weekly.
Scott Disick Slips Up
In August 2020, Khloé posted a gorgeous bikini pic on her Instagram account, promoting her Good American swimwear line, and Scott Disick commented, "@realtristan13 is a lucky man!" Perhaps he thought no one would notice, but the media immediately picked up Scott's comment as further proof that Tristan and Khloé are once again an item.
October 2020: Making Appearances
After months of speculation, by October 2020, it seemed that Khloé and Tristan are close to officially breaking the news of their reunion. They made multiple public appearances, including at Kim Kardashian's birthday family vacation, at a Halloween drive-through event and in coordinating family costumes on Halloween itself. There were also reports of kissing at Kim's birthday party.
