Kim Kardashian Accused of Stealing North West’s Spotlight After She Posed in Furry Outfit

At this point, Kim Kardashian is no stranger to being criticized for her decisions — whether they have to do with parenting, fashion, or basically any other category. But right now, people are focusing on one of her most recent social media posts. Kim is being called out for "stealing" daughter North West's spotlight after she shared a photo wearing an outfit that looks strikingly similar to the costume North wore when she played Simba in a live production of The Lion King. Uh oh …

Kim shared the photos of her new ensemble on Tuesday.

In the photos, Kim is wearing a furry yellow outfit and accessories by the designer Erl, complete with matching bag and hat. Swipe through her post to see the rest of the pics — some of which show Kim totally bundled up in the cuddly coordinating coat.

The same designer created North's look in 'The Lion King.'

When North appeared on stage at the Hollywood Bowl to play the role of Simba in The Lion King last month, she was wearing an outfit that was basically identical to the one her mom is wearing in her new photos. Erl shared the costume on their Instagram account, showing North covered in the yellow fur.

Kim's followers are totally unimpressed with her new photos.

Many people took to the comments of her Instagram post to call out Kim, accusing her of stealing North's spotlight for herself.

"You couldn't let your daughter have a moment u had to wear it too," one person wrote.

Another commenter added, "Why can’t she ever let anyone have their moment. Always [wants] to outdo the original."

Erl also shared the look on the designer's own Instagram account.

And unfortunately, Erl's followers weren't fans, either.

Some commenters shared more of their thoughts on Kim wearing North's look, with one person writing, "seems like this woman cant let North have something without making it about herself."

Others thought the designer made a major misstep working with the Kardashians in the first place. "Stop trying to make them happen," one commenter wrote.

North's performance has proven to be a pretty controversial one — even before Kim's latest fashion choice.

She hasn't exactly been getting rave reviews for her portrayal of Simba, especially after reports surfaced that claimed that she didn't need to audition for the role, thanks to her famous parents.

The only thing that matters is whether North thinks Kim's stealing her spotlight — and it's totally possible that her costume is just something the 10-year-old wanted to share with her mom.
