This season of The Kardashians on Hulu is giving us a peek into what was going on behind the scenes while Kanye West was making headlines for his hate-fueled rants last year. In this week's episode, Kim Kardashian breaks down crying after her ex-husband's antisemitic rant went public, admitting that she hasn't even been able to change her clothes for days.

Ye's rants made headlines at the end of 2022.

Last October, Kanye, who now goes by Ye, made several anti-Jewish statements both on and off social media.

"I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE," one of his tweets read at the time, via The Hill.

This ultimately led to multiple brands — including Adidas, which carried his popular Yeezy line — cutting ties with Ye for good.

Now, we're seeing what was going on with Kim while this was playing out publicly.

According to the conversation that fans witnessed on this week's episode of The Kardashians, it wasn't easy on Kim. In the scenes about what was going on in Ye, Kim was in tears and admitted that she was having trouble getting it together enough to make it to a meeting she had scheduled.

"It sucks, you know? When someone doesn't see how different they are," she said in a confessional.

She admitted she wasn't even able to change her clothes.

In one scene where she and younger sister Khloé Kardashian were talking about the situation, Kim admitted, "I literally haven't changed my outfit in like two days. I just have to get it together … I just can't. I don't know why I always can and I just can't."

She added, "I don't even think he feels bad for himself — I don't even think he knows how."

Kim was trying to protect her children from what was going on at the same time.

In another scene from the episode, Kim can be seen interacting with the four children she shares with Ye while speaking in a confessional about how she's trying to protect them from what's going on with their dad.

"I am just in protection mode of my kids and just try to hide everything," she said. "It's just hard for me to figure out, if they don't know anything … why wouldn't Dad come over for dinner? Why isn't Dad at my things? That kills me."

Kim spoke out against Ye's comments at the time.

"Hate speech is never OK or excusable. I stand together with the Jewish community and call on the terrible violence and hateful rhetoric towards them to come to an immediate end," she tweeted.

There's no doubt this has been a difficult time for Kim as she's settling into life as a single mom, especially while navigating what Ye does in the public eye.
