Reality star and mother of four Kim Kardashian has been very open about how much time she spends driving around with her kids. Based on the most recent episode of Million Dollar Wheels, it sounds like the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum's daily carpool gig just got a major glow-up.
Kim's new van made its TV debut on the Discovery+ show.
We're sure Kim's swanky new ride also will get plenty of screen time on her upcoming Hulu reality series, The Kardashians, but we got our first look at the souped-up van at the same time as she did. Million Dollar Wheels host RD Whittington previewed the over-the-top Maybach minivan during a recent episode of the series, showing Kim everything the $400,000 price tag had bought her.
The reality star was clearly in love with the automobile.
"Oh my God, this is amazing," Kim beamed as RD showed her all of the bells and whistles including the customizable interior lights, flat-screen TV, and our personal favorite feature: a partition. The divider features a setting that allows the driver visual privacy from the back seat, which we think will come in real handy for Kim during those rowdy car rides with her kids!
This is the first Maybach minivan of its kind.
We'd understand if parents of a certain tax bracket wanted to run out and order one of these vans for their own families but unfortunately, much like Kim herself, this van is one of a kind. RD revealed that the vehicle "is literally the first one in the US."
After seeing all of those features, we don't think it will stay that way for long!
We hope the cameras were rolling when Kim showed the kids.
Kim said she was considering rolling up to the pickup line. "So I'm going to school in this tomorrow," she explained as she looked over the vehicle. "We were joking that we needed a bus. Who needs a bus?"
Considering how many kids are in the Kardashion-Jenner clan, we still think a bus might be a good idea, but Kim's new van should at least be able to handle school dropoff … for now.
The nearly half a million dollar price tag may not sit well with everyone.
Considering the impact that rising inflation costs are having across the country, we're sure a lot of people are going to think this purchase is frivolous (especially after listening to Kim tick off all the other cars she has sitting in her "fleet" at home). But we can't fault Kim for wanting a car that can comfortably fit all four of her kids.
Personally, we love the van. Any vehicle with an option to roll up a divider and cut off the sounds of another sing-along of "We Don't Talk About Bruno" as we're trying to merge into rush-hour traffic sounds well worth the money to us!
