Kim reflected on 'the sad part about motherhood.'

In a sentimental post to her Instagram Stories, 44-year-old Kim opened up about one of the sad aspects of being a mom. “The sad part about motherhood is that you’re raising the one person you can’t live without… to live without you,” she wrote, adding a teary-eyed emoji. Kim is mom to 11-year-old North, 8-year-old Saint, 6-year-old Chicago, and 5-year-old Psalm, all of whom she shares with her ex-husband Kanye West.

In July, Kim admitted that she's a 'lenient' parent.

On a July episode of The Kardashians, Kim opened up about another aspect of motherhood that she struggles with at times: being a strict parent. On the show, she admitted that she might be too “lenient” at times, which is something that she has been working on. By talking to a therapist, Kim learned that “strict rules” can be helpful at times. “I was just being really lenient because it was easier for me,” Kim said at the time, per People. “I was like, ‘I can’t.’ I put my all into like everything else.”

“I’m gonna have to go through the hard times of, like, whining and crying of, ‘Why are you changing the rules? I used to have my device all the time,’” Kim continued. “I’m like, ‘No it’s gonna be this way.’ So I just changed a lot of little things around my house.”

In September, she gave Saint permission to start his own YouTube channel.

In spite of her stricter rules related to screen time, Kim recently gave her 8-year-old son, Saint, permission to start his own YouTube channel. She did, however, have her son sign “an extensive contract,” which stated “if I don’t listen to all of the rules, mom could make my page private or delete my account.”

By October, his YouTube account had seemingly been taken down. Just before Saint’s YouTube account disappeared, anti-Kamala Harris posts were shared via the account. People online speculated that Kim deleted the account after Saint broke the rules outlined in the contract.

Kim periodically documents her motherhood journey on social media.

On Instagram, Kim often shares photos of her kiddos. In June, North celebrated her 11th birthday. Kim shared a series of photos of her daughter to celebrate the occasion, captioning it with, “Thank God for you ✨ Happy 11th birthday my sweet girl North. I love you so so so much.”

A month earlier, she celebrated Psalm’s fifth birthday in May with a heartfelt tribute. “My sweet, smart, silly, independent baby boy turns 5 years old today!” she wrote at the time. “I can’t tell you how blessed I feel to be your mom! Your calm energy is much appreciated in our house hold lol.”

Kim is basically a single mom, according to a source.

In October, a source told People that although Kim shares her children with Kanye West, she is essentially a single mom. “Kanye is sadly not around very much. She’s pretty much a single mom,” the insider told the publication. “Although she has help, it’s still a lot of work for her to balance and coordinate everything.”

Additionally, the source said that Kim’s life revolves around motherhood. “Kim’s life is around her kids’ schedules,” the source claimed. “When they are in school, she works. When they are off, she’s very much focused on being a mom.”
