Kim Kardashian Says She Passed Down Her Chronic Skin Condition to Her Son

Kim Kardashian says she passed down the skin condition vitiligo to one of the sons she shares with controversial ex-husband Kanye West.

The Skims founder, 43, revealed on the latest episode of the SHE MD podcast that neither she nor her son are the first in the famous family to experience the chronic autoimmune disorder, which causes patches of skin to lose color.

“It came from my mom [and] went to me. And I passed it on in a different form to my son, who has vitiligo very mildly,” she shared, noting her son’s condition is “under control.”

Kim appreciates what she's learned about the condition.

Although the reality star said she previously “didn’t know anything about” vitiligo, she expressed her gratitude after “having to learn about it and figuring out where it came from and that it’s hereditary and just learning more and being able to share that.”

Kim didn’t specify which of the former couple’s two sons — 8-year-old Saint and 5-year-old Psalm — suffers from the disorder but said her brood also has “a little bit of eczema.”

Kim and the “Heartless” rapper, who finalized their divorce in late 2022, are also parents to daughters North, 11, and Chicago, 6.

Ye has been a controversial figure in recent years.

Kanye, who now legally goes by “Ye,” has long come under fire for his antisemitic and racist screeds, which largely derailed his mainstream career.

The controversial musician — who reportedly married Yeezy architectural designer Bianca Censori at the end of 2022 — is facing multiple lawsuits. Former employees recently accused Ye of fostering a “hostile” work environment that subjected them to discrimination and unpaid wages and exposed minors to pornographic imagery.

Ye’s former assistant also recently sued him for sexual harassment, breach of contract, and a hostile work environment.
