Not long after Kim Kardashian revealed that she failed some law tests because she asked ChatGPT for legal advice, she found out that she did not pass the bar exam. Interestingly, the SKIMS founder seemed pretty confident that she passed during an appearance on BBC’s The Graham Norton Show at the end of October. Because Kim asserted that she would “be qualified in two weeks,” some fans assumed Kim already knew the results but hadn’t shared them publicly — because where did she get that kind of confidence? From her family’s psychics, apparently.
Several psychics told Kim she’d pass the bar exam.
And it seems like she really trusted them at one point. So, imagine her disappointment when she found out that she didn’t actually pass. In a clip from her mom Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday celebration, Kim appeared to send a voice message complaining about the psychics while a makeup artist did her makeup. “All of the [expletive] psychics that we have met with, and that we’re obsessed with, are all [expletive] full of [expletive],” Kim vented. “They all collectively, maybe four of them, have told me I was gonna pass the bar, so they’re all full pathological liars. Don’t believe anything they say.”
Prior to getting the results back, Kim seemingly really trusted them.

Back in October, when Kim confidently asserted that she would soon be a qualified lawyer, fans hoped that she already knew that she’d passed. At the time, Kim spoke about how she wanted to become a trial lawyer and “give up being Kim K.” In response, one fan wrote, “I hope for Kim’s sake she passed, because it’d be really embarrassing to have to walk this statement back.”
But given that she’s publicly admitted to using ChatGPT for help and has blamed the psychics for giving her false hope, she might not be all that embarrassed. After all, she seemed to have no shame when she insisted that the moon landing was actually fake.
She’s not giving up on her dreams though.
Alhough she’s not a qualified lawyer yet, Kim appears to still have hope. On Instagram, she wrote, “Well… I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV. Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up — just more studying and even more determination.” She went on to say that failing actually gave her more motivation, as she was “so close to passing the exam.”
