We have a feeling that Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann are about to enter the fight of their lives for their children. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum recently accused her estranged husband of drug abuse, expressing her concerns for the “safety and well-being” of the couple’s children amid her divorce from Kroy. Now she’s asking the courts to intervene to help her keep her kids safe.
It sounds like Kim's legal team is going after Kroy's character.
InTouch has obtained a copy of the legal documents filed with the Superior Court of Fulton County in Georgia, where Kim asked the judge to require Kroy to undergo drug testing. If the judge agrees, the 37-year-old former NFL player will be forced to present the results within two days of receiving them and Kim will be awarded “equitable and just” relief if necessary.
Kim's concerns stem from Kroy's alleged marijuana use.
Kim said her estranged husband frequently smokes pot, giving her “serious concerns for the safety and well-being” of their shared children, according to a report from TMZ. The drug test will involve a five-panel hair follicle screen, and Kroy will be prohibited from cutting his hair until after it’s done.
This news comes a week after the pair filed for divorce.

Kroy initiated the divorce filing on May 5, and Kim followed up with a contested divorce filing on May 7. Both of them are seeking sole physical custody of their shared children — 11-year-old Kroy Jr., 10-year-old Kash Kade, and 9-year-old fraternal twins Kane and Kaia — and Kroy has also filed for sole legal custody. (Kim has two other daughters, 26-year-old Brielle and 21-year-old Ariana, from previous relationships.)
Kim and Kroy are facing still more legal woes.
It seems the two got into some financial problems over the past few years and owe the government more than $1 million in back taxes. In addition to that, their Atlanta mansion was facing foreclosure earlier this year but was saved at the last minute when the pair was able to broker a deal with their bank.

We have to imagine this is making things rather awkward at home.
Despite all of the behind-the-scenes legal maneuvering, TMZ claims that Kroy and Kim are still living together. With four young children, they may be trying to keep things as normal as they possibly can for as long as they can, but the situation must be getting increasingly uncomfortable for these two as their divorce battle heats up.
