As the feud between Prince Harry and the royals continues, King Charles is getting his updates on his youngest son from the one person in the family who remains connected to him. According to one royal expert, Charles is in the habit of pumping Princess Eugenie for information, and she might end up being the lifeline that helps the father and son eventually put their differences aside and make up.

Princess Eugenie and Prince Harry have remained friends through all of the ups and downs.
In the years since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle walked away from their positions as senior royals, Princess Eugenie has been the one family member that he’s kept in touch with. She and husband Jack Brooksbank have even been spotted visiting Harry and Meghan in the US, so it’s safe to say they’ve remained close.
This means Eugenie has found herself stuck in the middle.
And though that could be challenging, Jennie Bond, a former royal correspondent for the BBC, told the UK’s OK! magazine that might not be a bad thing.
“Eugenie undoubtedly does have something of a challenge on her hands to maintain good relationships with both Harry and Meghan—and the rest of the Royal Family,” she said (via Marie Claire). “But I think the King is probably happy that Harry still has at least one royal cousin he clearly trusts, and presumably wants to see more of.”
Given the strained relationship between Harry and his family, any connection he has to them is essential.
“However, I think it’s a positive thing that Charles does have someone he can quietly ask about Harry‘s well-being, if he is so inclined,” Jennie added. “And Harry can presumably gauge the mood of the family via Eugenie.”

If Harry is ever going to make up with his family, it will have to start somewhere.
As Jennie told the magazine, it might just be with Eugenie helping bridge the gap — especially with the recent rumors that Harry and Meghan have purchased a European vacation home.
“I think it perhaps suggests that they do want their children to know at least some of their U.K. family,” she said. “It will be good for Archie and Lilibet to spend time with their little cousins, and Eugenie will remain an important link between Harry and the rest of his family.”

There’s no doubt that Charles and Harry must miss each other, especially because they weren’t able to spend time together during Harry’s most recent trip to the UK. Maybe 2025 will finally be the year we see them back together again – and if this royal expert is right, they may just have Princess Eugenie to thank for it.
