Kody Brown Tries to Keep Spark Alive with His ‘Very Strong’ Body Odor

Kody Brown and his wife Robyn Brown haven’t been able to spend much quality time together lately, so Kody is employing some pretty interesting tactics to try to keep the spark alive. On the latest episode of Sister Wives, the 56-year-old tried to use his “stinky body” to seduce his wife. And although Robyn has described her husband as “yummy” before, she was not into his “very strong” body odor. Can you blame her?

As they were moving, Kody asked his wife if she liked his ‘gross’ scent.

On the episode, Kody said he and his wife currently feel more like “battle buddies” than “lovers.” It doesn’t help that they’ve been extremely busy, so they “haven’t had a romantic getaway, an escape, time together.”

Clearly, Kody was looking for a way to make their move from their Flagstaff, Arizona, home a tad bit sexier and more romantic. But his strategy was questionable at best.

He explained that he hoped his “stinky smell” would make his wife think, “Oh, that handsome man.”

Unsurprisingly, it did not do that.

As they were preparing for their move, Kody asked his wife, “Do you like that? Like the way I smell?” Robyn understandably shook her head and left the room. Kody explained the thought process behind his unconventional approach to his brother Michael. He said he’s always “peacocking at” his wife. Talking about his intense body odor was his way of flirting with her.

He said he was “just flirting around here, having some fun with it, like, making my stinky body something romantic.” When he asked his wife if she liked his scent, what he really meant was, “‘Hey, you smell those pheromones?’ It means you’re digging on me. ‘You like that stinky smell?’ Is there a stank on me that’s making you go, ‘Oh, that handsome man?'”

Which, no, there wasn’t.

Robyn later explained why Kody’s flirting attempts tend to fail. But it’s not all because of his questionable “peacocking.” For Robyn, public displays of affection still feel unusual given that they were not acceptable during their plural marriage. Robyn said she’s “not actually someone who goes for it” when Kody tries to flirt with her in front of others. “When it came to anything public, I just would shy away from flirting with him,” she said. “Now I’m having to kind of get comfortable with it.”

This discomfort, however, is a far cry from what Kody says he wants. “I want to be walking down the street with her someday, maybe in a shopping mall or something like that, [and] have her just slap my a–,” he confessed.
