The moms of the Kardashian family each have multiple children, but they’re still able to accomplish everything they do thanks to their village… which also includes paid childcare, like nannies. And not all that long ago, there was a nasty rumor going around that Kourtney Kardashian‘s nanny had helped Travis Barker cheat on her. Now, that same nanny is finally speaking her truth.
Leah Barrs first shared the story on a reality show.
Leah is featured on the Hulu series Million Dollar Nanny, which debuted in June. On the show, she tells another nanny about a time early in her career that she slept with the father of one of the children she was nannying for. She was only 22 at the time it happened, and now, in her 30s, Leah acknowledged in an interview with People that she “shouldn’t have done that.”
“It was something I regret doing,” she said. “I guess I don’t regret it because you learn from your mistakes, but I’m not that person today.”
Since Leah nannied for Kourtney in the past, there were rumors that she could have hooked up with Travis, but now, she’s shutting those rumors down.
She clarified that the man she’s talking about isn’t Travis.
The subject came up again when Leah appeared on Harry Jowsey’s podcast, Boyfriend Material. Since the incident was so long ago, it actually took place before she worked for Kourtney from 2019 to 2022.
“I did him a favor one night, and he came back from his event,” Leah said about the dad she slept with years ago while on the podcast (via Radar Online). “The daughter was asleep. Technically, I’m clocked out. He is my friend. I’ve always thought he was hot. We hook up.”
She added, “It’s just something that was so insignificant, like so long ago that just got blown out of proportion.”
She has nothing but positive things to say about working for Kourtney and her family.
In a June interview with The New York Post, Leah called being a nanny to Mason, Penelope, and Reign (Rocky wasn’t born yet) while working for Kourtney “fate.”
A pastor who Leah knew at the time also knew that Kourtney was looking for a nanny and felt that Leah would be “perfect” for the job, and as it turns out, she was.
Her main responsibilities included getting the kids to and from school and everything that came with it.
“It was beyond nannying,” Leah told the outlet. “I learned a lot about myself — [Kourtney] really taught me to be a better worker. Networking, being the best version of myself. Representing that family. Everyone always said, ‘You should start your own agency.’”
If you get a recommendation from a Kardashian, you’re probably set in the nannying industry for life. No wonder Leah has come so far.
