All of the Kardashians have changed their style a lot since Keeping Up With the Kardashians first premiered in 2007. And that makes sense, because more than a decade passed and a lot of things happened in each of the women's lives. Kourtney Kardashian had three kids throughout the series, and her mom style has evolved so much since she gave birth to her son Mason in 2009.
Don't get us wrong — Kourt has always been trendy, but since trends have changed a lot since the late 2000s, so has her personal style. She's basically a fashion icon these days, hitting all the red carpets and fashion week shows in her designer duds. If we were giving out coolest, most-fashionable mom awards, she would get one for sure.
Check out the evolution of Kourt's mom style from 2010 through now.
Sequins
These kinds of fancy cardigans were everywhere in the late 2000s, and not even Kourtney was immune. She sported this gold sequin sweater with a black belted dress in 2010 while at a Bebe clothing launch for the Kardashian holiday and resort brand. She looks fine, and she was definitely stylish for the time, but it's a trip to look back on now.
Bodycon
The Kardashians have definitely not given up wearing form-fitting outfits, but Kourt has said goodbye to this style of bodycon dress. It wasn't doing her any favors on the red carpet during Fashion Week in 2010. We've seen her in much better outfits over the years, but at this point she was still learning. Becoming a fashion icon takes time.
Leather Dress
Also in 2010, the new mom sported an all-leather dress for an event in New York. Look at those lace-up stilettos — we remember that style so well. Kourt has brought back the leather look in the years since, but she tends to have it tailored a little better now. This dress seems like it may have been just off the rack.
Leopard Pants
Can you believe this picture was taken in 2011? That's 100% yes. Everything in it is super dated, from the chunky necklace to the tiered blazer to the leopard print pants. Animal prints can be done in a chic way, but this wasn't it. Even if Kourtney was on trend for the time, let's never go back to this, please. We beg.
Business Casual
These A-line skater skirts were all the rage in 2012, which is when Kourtney was spotted in this outfit in New York City. She paired her black skirt with a polka-dot button-up blouse and a Chanel fanny pack. Too bad this was before fanny packs came back in style. Kourt looks like she could totally rock a boardroom meeting, though.
Ripped Jeans
Just as Kourtney can dress it up in business casual for a meeting she can also dress it down for a lazy afternoon of errands. We love these grungy ripped jeans paired with a basic black tank. She accessorized with a slim belt and a bold red lip. It's laid-back but still super stylish. Kourt can do casual clothes so well.
Red Carpet Gown
In 2013, Kourtney wore a red dress when attending Elton John's AIDS Foundation Oscars party. The intervening years definitely helped Kourt have a bit of a fashion glow-up. We would never see her in something like this today, but she looks cute — even if she also kind of looks like she's going to prom or something.
Maternity Style
When Kourt was pregnant with Reign, her third child, she wore this lacy maternity dress. She paired the look with a purple hat, big cross earrings, and a black Prada bag. She looks like she's about to have a fun beach day, and we can't be mad about that. Her maternity style was definitely on point in 2014. We're fans.
Sophisticated Sequins
Kourtney brought her love of sequins back in 2017 for the PrettyLittleThing clothing launch. But this time she kept the look more streamlined. Gone was the gaudy gold sequin sweater and in was a sleek little black dress with the perfect hint of shine from the small sequins. Super sophisticated and chic. It was proof that sequins can be done right.
Power Suit
The Kardashians are powerful businesswomen, and as such, Kourtney totally knows how to rock a suit. She wore this chic black power suit to the premiere of The Promise in 2017. She looks like a total boss. This was when Kourt's personal style really started to blossom and she began to find her footing in the fashion world.
And in White
Not everybody can pull off an all-white suit, but Kourtney is one of the few people who can. She wore this outfit to an NBC event a few years ago, and she wowed on the red carpet. We love that she went with a lacy bralette as her blouse. It's daring and oh-so-chic. It keeps the suit look from seeming too stuffy.
Blinged Out
In 2019, Kourtney reprised her beloved power suit look but this time with a blinged-out black and silver ensemble. She rocked this on the red carpet for the
People's Choice Awards, and we would like to choose to award her Best Dressed for the evening. You can't top this outfit — sorry to the rest of the Kardashian fam who attended the event. Kourtney just did it better.
Little Black Dress
Every woman needs a killer black dress in her closet, because you really can't go wrong wearing one to almost any event. Kourtney positively slayed in this outfit in 2019 at a gala in New York City. We love everything about it — from the leg slit to the sweetheart neckline to her super-high ponytail. Fab-u-lous.
Mommy & Me
But just as she can dress up for the ritziest red carpet, Kourtney is also down to kick it at home in a lounge set. She and her daughter, Penelope, actually have matching versions of this cozy set so they can cuddle up together in classic mommy-and-me style. As a mother of three kids, Kourt needs to be comfy on occasion!
Casual Night Out
Speaking of casual, Kourt stepped out in a cozy hoodie and chic cotton pants when grabbing dinner in early March 2020. When choosing this outfit, she probably just wanted to be comfy for once. Little did she know that in a handful of days she'd be locked down at home and able to wear all the sweatshirts and cotton pants she wanted.
Fashion Week
But before that lockdown, Kourtney was able to attend Paris Fashion Week with her sister Kim. The two wore latex Balmain jumpsuits that had everyone talking. Can you believe Kourt has had three children? She looks so great, even if these skintight looks are a little out there. It's haute couture — what are you gonna do?
2000s Style
The 2000s are vintage now, which must make 42-year-old Kourtney feel super old. But even if she feels old, she doesn't look it — especially not when rocking the throwback looks from her early 20s. She wore this bandana top in October 2020, paired with a slim shoulder bag and leather pants. She's totally pulling it off.
Back to Sequins
You can take a girl out of the early 2000s, but you can't take the early 2000s out of the girl. No matter the changing styles of the years, Kourtney loves a good sequin. She posted this barely-there dress to Instagram in November 2020, and we're kind of obsessed. The sequins are super big, which helps them still seem stylish when compared with the kinds of beading she wore way back when.
Rockin' a Bikini
There's no denying that Kourtney has a bangin' body, so we're not surprised that she likes showing it off. On Instagram, she often posts selfies in bikinis. They're basically as common to her wardrobe as leggings might be to ours. She paired this bathing suit with a bucket hat, because she's nothing if not on top of the trends.
'90s Goth
Kourtney recently stepped out with her boyfriend, Blink-182's Travis Barker, while wearing an outfit that many noted could have been straight out of a Hot Topic store. It's totally '90s goth thanks to the lace-up black and red skirt paired with the leather bralette. Perhaps she felt she needed to switch up her style a bit to match her tattooed '90s band boyfriend. It works.
